This Lego Garage is the perfect place to store all of your tools. This “Grownup’s Toy Box” is created by Daniel Church. The Lego build is an entry into the Iron Builders challenge, this time it is to use Minifigure wrenches and hammers in unique ways. You can find some of the wrenches being used to hold up a ladder, as handles and parts in the lawn mower / snow blower, and as part of the roof. The hammers can be found holding up a bunch of shelves and even the motorcycle. This Lego garage is a perfect example of using lighting to help make the presentation look better. The soft afternoon glow, mixed with the green background (seen through the windows) gives off a very nostalgic feeling. The only thing missing from this garage, are a bunch of spiders hiding everywhere.

The Lego Ducati Panigale V4 R, A New Technic Set Announced

The Ducati Panigale V4 R (42107), A New Lego Technic Set Announced

Lego is showing off a new Technic set, the Ducati Panigale V4 R (42107). This super bike is one of the most powerful legal bikes currently available. Lego has tried to capture the “style, sophistication, performance” of the Ducati. With 646 pieces and a price tag of $69.99/€69.99 the bike goes on sale in August.

This street bike has a bunch of features. The headlining feature is that this is the very first motorcycle to have a gearbox with different speeds. Lego seems to be really pushing this design, as you can remove the panels to see the engine and how everything works. Also mentioned is that the bike has full steering, front and rear brakes, suspension, and a working kickstand. Everything is held together with bright red panels, and a super durable Technic frame.

Terminator 2 Motorcycle Escape Lego Version

One of the most memorable moments from the Terminator films is the motorcycle escape through Bull Creek. The concrete flood and drainage design of the creek is a perfect location for a truck and motorcycle chase. This Lego version called “Pieces of Cinema 23: Terminator 2: Judgement Day” is built by totallyawesome_me. Who has been building and recreating famous film scenes in Lego. For this vignette they chose to have a brick built motorcycle, instead of the official Lego one. The Harley Davidson has some great details in the handlebars (claws holding pistols) and in the exhaust system. The characters are all recognizable, especially the Terminator and the T-1000. The shotgun is a really interesting build. A pirate style pistol with two Lego bars rubber banded together. The brown plant base as gun fire is great. Altogether it works really well. Can John Connor make it out alive?

A Close Shave With Shaun, Wallace & Gromit

After a mishap in the kitchen with breakfast Wallace and Gromit are ready to wash windows and save the day. It’s been a busy day, meeting a very hungry sheep named Shaun. The robot dog Preston is up to no good and Wendolene will need to be saved. Good thing they have a fast motorcycle. This “A Close Shave” Lego MOC is built by grubaluk and hides a nice surprise. This Lego build is an actual working RC Motorcycle. I’m sure Gromit doesn’t mind, but he is sharing the sidecar with a the motor. The Lego RC motorcycle can go forward, and make turns. To help sell the illusion that Wallace is driving, a clever system of gears and strings attach his arms to the handlebars. The rest of the Lego work is great too. The studs being used to represent a rough wool sweater is a great detail. As are the Lego snakes, and wool hat used for details on Gromits face. They motorcycle looks good too! But is it fast enough for Lego Wallace and Gromit to save the day from the malfunctioning Preston?

I Saw (Lego) Spider-Man Today

I Saw Spider-Man Today, is a Lego MOC by Barthezz Brick. The scene features three huge buildings, a few streets, and a whole lot of details. Everything looks weathered, accomplished by using various misaligned and ill-fitting Lego bricks. Giving the whole setting a very New York feel. Especially the more gritty version from some of the comics. There is a lot going on in this build. If you look carefully you can spot Spider-Man, a Sushi stand, Motorcycle, newsstand, and even a saxophone player. Everything has been brought together by the excellent use of custom decals and stickers. Especially the Coca-Cola sign.

Barthezz Brick has even provided a short story, setting the scene:

“The scultz gang robbed their third bank this week. I chased one of the robbers for three blocks when he tore his money bag on W 37th street. He lost more than half of his loot. I doubted, should i secure the money or should i keep chasing the bloke?

I decided to keep track on the scultz gang member, but then all of a sudden i saw spider-man. He came out of nowhere and webbed the guy in the middle of a busy crossroad. It was amazing!! Finally when the police arrived they arrested that son of a b*tch and took him to the nearest police station.

It was amazing to see my childhood dreams came true. Spider-Man you’re my Hero!”

Kaneda’s Motorcycle, A Lego Akira MOC

There are only a few animated cyberpunk films out there that have reached the critical mass. Akira being one of them. From its manga origin to its 25th anniversary Blu-ray there are a lot interpretations of the Akira story. One of the most iconic features from the film is the super sleek red motorcycle that the protagonist Kaneda rides. This red bike is instantly recognizable.

David VII, from MOCpages created this little bike, and included a neat Minifigure of Kaneda too. The Lego version of the motorcycle has been built in the Minifigure scale. Kaneda’s Motorcycle is perfectly represented, and looks relatively easy to recreate.

Lego Valor Hover Bike Inspired by Radio Kootwijk

Silvain, from Flickr, has created this futuristic hover bike out of Lego. There is a whole lot of detail and Lego pieces crammed into this little bike. The hover bike has been biult around an unofficial Lego piece, the BrickForge Tan Scooter. The Scooter does an admiral job blending in and looking like the official Lego pieces. There are also a few modified Lego pieces to assist with connections. And, a rare Lego Motorcycle Windshield from the 1980’s. This hover bike is fantastic.

Just remember to wear your helmets while flying the skies of New New York.

The Lego Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’s Chopper by Project Azazel

The Lego Walking Dead is probably the last theme Lego would ever license. Easily one of the most emotionally devastating comic/television/video game series out there. The creator and author of the Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman, made a wise decision to focus on the living characters instead of the zombies. The scariest moments are always what the humans are doing to themselves. With truly horrific characters, such as the Governor, Negan, and Merle Dixon. But for every memorable villain there are many more memorable “heroes,” and everyone has a favorite. (Lee Everett!)

Here, Flickr user, Project Azazel has created a Lego vignette titled “The Walking Dead ‘DD’ Chopper.” Showing off a Lego Daryl Dixon and his motorcycle. A perfectly assembled scene, completely capturing the character of Daryl. Everyones favorite good guy with a bad guy reputation. He is easily underestimated, even though he may be one of the strongest in the surviving group. Nobody is going to mistake this as anything other then the Walking Dead. The Lego motorcycle may be the star here, it is a great example of how to assemble seemingly useless pieces into something greater.

Cycles, Cruisers, Motos & Racers: The MOC Lego Motorcycle

The Lego motorcycle is a very convenient piece, but the design sacrifices realism for modularity. For some people the official Lego moto is just not what they want. Those people then spend hours and hours trying to create iconic motorcycles from across the world. Because of the small build size, these MOC motos usually use some of the most advanced building techniques. Although most are not in minifig scale, some are very close to it.

There is a surprisingly large variety when it comes to motorcycles, and their fans haven’t been slow to adapt them to Lego. These first few cycles were created by Lego911 over at Flickr. Their similarity in scale makes comparing their differences easy. The most obvious is the way the tailpipes have been build, using a variety of cones, technic, and hoses. These little guys are so compact, that every piece has a significant place in the design. Everything from the frames, to the tires, to the handlebars offer these bikes their individuality. These are officially in Miniland scale.

Next up is a pair of bikes made by Lino M. These Cafe Racers are marked by their low handlebars, short seats, and long gas tanks. The idea is to quickly get to where you are going, usually to dine at a little cafe. Which you could do in style with these orange and lime racers. These little motos are not as sleek as the ones above, but they do offer more detailing. Check out those rear tires.

A great example of a larger build is the Clubman by Tango-zero. This motorcycle has been mostly created with technic bricks. Offering a very realistic engine, working suspension, and even a chain to drive the rear tire. Of all of these builds this is the one that comes closest to what Lego might actually design as an official set.

Omar + kamitera created this build based on the The World’s Fastest Indian. Which, just happens to have a really great film based on its underdog story. This motorcycle is based on the famous Indian Scout modified by Burt Munro, which went on to win many land speed records in the 1950–60s. The unmodified bike tops out at a speed of 55 mph, but this modded Indian Scout went on to hit a top speed of 205 mph.

Project Azazel created the Deutsch Motorrad mit Beiwagen, which just happens to be one of the few minifig scale custom motorcycles out there. Usually as a build gets smaller, it also gets more fragile. This one though looks relatively solid. The use of a few technic bricks, minifig accessories, and a whole lot of talent is what goes into a bike like this.

Another example by Lino M shows off a great use of color with a chopper designed for Spider-Man. This motorcycle shows off a lot of little details, such as a suicide clutch, missile launcher, web thrower, knucklehead motor, spiderman minifig, and headlight. A perfect moto for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
