“The greatest Lego hero ever!” – The Lego Newspaper

The Lego Newspaper, The Greatest Lego Hero Ever

Have you ever tried to read the text on the current Lego Newspaper (4655208)? It is almost illegible but if you squint, you can maybe make out 90% of it. Reddit user PeterM76 wrote to Lego and got an official response, revealing the full text. Check it out:

“The greatest LEGO hero ever!

The LEGO news interviewed the hero after helping the old man. It was a quiet afternoon in the LEGO City. The minifigure hero walked through the streets and heard the old man shouting for help. Like every other minifigure the old man tried to protect the world against evil. He just forgot that he was old and not that fast anymore. After running through many streets the evil monster of the universe captured the old man and lifted him up in a tree. The LEGO hero ran when he heard the shouting, captured the villain and saved the old man in the tree. He only had one comment “I will do whatever it takes to save minifigures” ” Journalist: Annemette”

A Lego Game of Thrones: Stannis, Bolton, Melisandre, and More

Legoagogo's Lego Game Of Thrones

Game of Thrones is back on TV and that means a whole lot of intrigue and trickery is afoot. Legoagogo has taken his fandom of Game of Thrones and Lego to create a whole series of photos and vignettes. So far they have created Minifigures for the Hound, Arya Stark, Brienne, Jaime Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, Cersei Lannister, Stannis, Davos, Melisandre, Theon Greyjoy, Ramsay Bolton, Jon Snow, Ygritte, Hodor, and Bran Stark. This small selection of the possible characters just happens to represent some of Legoagogo’s favorites.

The little vignettes have all been photographed extremely well. They are all instantly recognizable. Check out Ramsay Bolton getting ready to eat some Lego sausage.

And, if you happened to catch the most recent episode then this scene (or something similar) will be fresh in your mind. That Red Witch sure knows how to build a fire.

King Joffrey, Long May He Reign! Lego Game of Thrones.

Lego Game of Thrones. King Joffrey, Long may he Reign!

Just in time for the season premiere of Game of Thrones, Guy Himber, has created King Joffrey, Long May He Reign. This television shows most infamous villain is looking appropriately evil. Some of these Lego pieces have been put to novel use. Check out the Minifigure arms, used for fingers. And, it even looks like the One Ring is adorning the top of the crown. Even in Lego you still want to slap Joffrey across his smug face.

The Golden Girls Lego Living Room and Kitchen Modular Set

lostsleep's The Golden Girls Lego Living Room and Kitchen Modular Set

The Golden Girls Lego Living Room and Kitchen Modular Set is the creation of lostsleep. It took this Lego Ideas project only a few weeks to obtain over 10,000 supporters. The show set is about as accurate to the classic television show as you could expect. It features the iconic round table, a foyer, and living room all set up like a live television show set. You just need to add your live audience, cameras, and production crew. The four main women are instantly recognizable. You have Dorothy, Rose, Sophia, and Blanche. This is such an awesome set, and I cannot wait to see what the official Lego response will be!

lostsleep's The Golden Girls Lego, Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia

“This is a recreation of the Golden Girls House used in filming the popular 1980’s show that is still watched daily around the world. It is the Foyer, Living Room, and Kitchen built like a TV set, with one wall removed and a full view into the space.  It comes with 5 minifigures including Dorothy, Rose, Sophia, Blanche, and Stanley.  It has been meticulously recreated to have opening cupboards and fridge in the kitchen, Wicker Sofa and Chairs, a hallway backdrop, a storage closet in the kitchen, and an outdoor area with potted plants and a hose.

I have recreated many classic scenes from the show, including a visit from Burt Reynolds, Rose shooting Blanche’s Vase, Dorothy Playing “Grab That Dough” and Rose rescuing her Teddy Bear from a mean little girl.”

“Guns! Fresh guns for sale!” — Borderlands Lego MOCs

Adan Ramirez's Borderlands Lego Vending Machines

Borderlands Lego is certainly one of those themes that would never be produced. Making it a perfect theme for your own MOCs. The first Borderlands has something like a bajillion guns in it (some say 17.75 million), which is slightly more then the amount of Lego firearms most people have. Adan Ramirez put two and two together and created a set of awesome Borderlands Lego MOCs. The video game is full of working and non-working vending machines. These have been faithfully recreated here with the help of some stickers. The Ammo Dump, Gun$, and Dr. Zed’s Meds are perfectly scaled for Minifigures. They also fit in well with a fuller diorama. Featuring Zer0, a few dead psychos, and a whole lot of propaganda.

“Someone is busy.
Now we play the waiting game;
Everyone loses.”

“I’m not a bad slime, you know!” — A Lego Dragon Quest Slime

alanboar's Lego Dragon Quest Slime (スライム)

The Dragon Quest Slime (スライム) is one of the cutest video game monsters, so it only makes sense that it is also one of the cutest Lego monsters too. These little mobs are the creation of alanboar. They are all great, but the trans-blue one is perfect. The cartoony eyes and dopey smile have been faithfully recreated. Imagine a whole army of these Lego slimes. If you look hard enough you might even find a metal slime!

I think i’ll name the blue one Rocket. :]

The World’s Greatest Minifigures. The Lego Fantastic Four!

Misha Mishin's Lego Fantastic Four

Lego may never get around to releasing Fantastic Four based Minifigures, but that doesn’t stop people from obtaining their own. With a recent appearance in the Lego Marvel Super Heroes video game there is some hope that these may one day be official. These four Minifigs are actually extremely well done “knock offs” by Sheng Yuan, and are sold individually. These Minifigures are a part of a greater Fantastic Four themed release, featuring Mr. Fantastic, Human Torch, Invisible Woman, The Thing, Flaming Human Torch, Pyro, Silver Surfer, and the great Dr. Doom. These are surprisingly detailed, with the Thing being the break out star of the bunch.
