The TwinBee, A Lego Mech Homage

rongYIREN's TwinBee Lego Mech

This stout Lego Mech is called the TwinBee, and is the creation of rongYIREN. The TwinBee is an homage or recreation of the ship from the NES/SNES video game. A series that started way back in 1985 in Japan, and seems to still be going with an iOS / Android release in 2013 titled Line GoGo! TwinBee. This homage manages to keep the arms, which are essential for dropping bombs. The Lego version has some awesome jets, large enough to outrun anything else. It even manages to stand out as something unique in The Lego Mech or Robot genre: http://everydaybricks.com/category/robots-2/

When You’re Late For The Job

PSquiddy's Late For The Job Lego MOC

“Oh no, it seems like Mr. Craig’s Alarm Unit malfunctioned! He better hurry his way to work or a point might be added to his L4TE card!”

People do crazy things when they are late for work. Lego people are no different. Check out this Lego MOC by P Squiddy titled Late for the job! It is a perfect example of taking a solid MOC and creating a story around it. This isn’t just a flying car in the near/distant future, but a story being told about that future. The whole thing is achieved with minimal details, a few reactionary Minifigures is all it takes.

Sail The Lego Seas In The Little Victory Ship

Nick Barrett's Lego Ship Little Victory Sails

Most Lego ships are either huge or very tiny. It is rare to see something in between. This Lego MOC titled The Little Victory is a perfect example of doing something creative in Lego. This ship is the creation of Nick Barrett, who also created the massive HMS Victory (here). The HMS was Minifigure scale, which translated to a ship made out of thousands and thousands of Lego bricks. This mini version is a faithful recreation. It features three gun decks, three masts, brick built sails, and custom rigging.  This ship is impressive, and only little in scale.

New Horizons Photos Reveal Pluto Is Made Of Lego

Iain Heath's Lego New Horizons Pluto

The NASA space probe is New Horizons is currently taking photos and scientific readings of the little non-planet Pluto. The New Horizons Space Probe launched in 2006 with a mission to document Pluto and the Kuiper Belt. The probe will get the closest to Pluto as it can on July 14th 2015. Where it might be revealed that Pluto is made up of Lego, or maybe not. Iain Heath has created a New Horizons MOC as excitement peaks for this historical mission. This version of the space probe almost looks like an official Lego Ideas project. Im sure it would have a good chance at making it through the process too. Lego seems to have a soft spot for Space stuff.

This Lego Transformers Optimus Prime Is More Than Meets The Eye

Ralph S's Lego Transformers Optimus Prime Truck

Lego and Transformers seems like a pretty good match. The problem is that the recent movies and the cartoons take extreme liberties in the design. Usually there is no way these robots could fit into a tiny car. Since a computer can cheat and hide away a lot of the conflicting elements, the films get away with this. When you are working in Lego these conflicts need to be carefully worked out. Ralph S has created an extremely detailed Lego Optimus Prime. What separates this from all the other Lego Transformers MOCs is that this one can actually transform. The truck from is a good looking Lego MOC, even if you didn’t know what was hiding inside. Then with some careful transforming, Optimus Prime, stands tall. At 45-50cm in height, this makes the models scale at 1/22. Even better Optimus can stand on his own (although don’t sneeze around him, and don’t tell the Decepticons).

Lego Batman Cruising In The New Bat MOWbile

lego_panda's Lego Batman Bat MOWbile

Lego Batman enjoys a good Saturday morning mowing the grass with his Bat MOWbile. Afterwards, he enjoys cruising down the highway to the local hardware store to pick up some weed killer. For his Poison Ivy problem.

This is a super simple Lego MOC that ended up being awesome. Check out the blade guard area. The Lego Bat MOWbile is the creation of lego_panda, and you can find more about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/3cnu3r/bat_mowbile/

When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth – Lego Jurassic Park Visitor Center

LDiEgo's Lego Jurassic Park Visitor Center

LDiEgo has created a new Lego Ideas project for a massive Jurassic Park Visitor Center. Lego is currently creating Jurassic Park World sets, but haven’t released anything from the previous 3 movies. It seems a project like this would be a perfect fit for Lego Ideas, which seems to have a soft spot for popular films. A few project have been proposed, but there has been no word on them from Lego (here).

LDiEgo's Lego Jurassic Park Visitor Center Modular

This modular style Lego Jurassic Park Visitor Center would be 2,623 pieces. Which is way more then any previous Lego Ideas release has contained. The whole complex features the Main Entrance Hall, “Les Gigantes” restaurant, a Kitchen, a Dinning Room, an Emergency Bunker, a Showcase Theater, a Control Room and a Genetics Lab. Also proposed are two dinosaur skeletons, the Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Sauropod. There would be one Raptor included, named “Clever Girl.” Plus six Minifigures: John Hammond, Tim Murphy, Lex Murphy, Donald Gennaro, Ray Arnold, and Robert Muldoon.

A Regal Lego Friends Princess Castle

Hrczs1's Lego Friends Princess Castle

All of the Lego Friends and Lego Disney Princess figures need a place to stay. Especially if they need to fend off a horde of baddies. This glimmering white castle is the creation of Hrczs1. It features a keep and two towers, making an amazingly compact castle. There is very little room to spare. While the overall design is compact it is tall. Creating a kind of forced perspective trick that creates the illusion of size. The design is highlighted with purple, pink, teal, and gold trim. The most charming detail is the balcony attached to the central keep/tower. It looks like something out of Sleeping Beauty. A nice detail is that Cinderella’s Carriage fits perfectly inside of the gate. See if you can spot some of the other hidden details.

The Lego Friends Stay Fit In This Exercise Room

drspock888's Lego Friends Exercise Room

Even the Lego Friends should spend some time in the gym. This Lego Exercise Room is the creation of dr_spock_888. It features a stationary bike, a variety of  weights, a hydration station, and boombox. Everything you need to get your heart rate up. This MOC is relatively simple, but it works well. Instantly recognizable. Keep it simple is what they say. There might even be more pieces in the flooring then everything else combined. Maybe. Who knew that Mia was such a body builder, even the little cat is amazed!

More Details About That Charming Lego Friends: Lovely Hotel

Lego Friends Lovely Hotel

The Lego Friends: Lovely Hotel is extremely charming and popular. This Lego MOC is amazingly difficult to find, but a few more photos of this modular hotel have surfaced. The Lovely Hotel made its first appearance at the Fujiyama Lego Camp ’12. This pink and purple Cafe Corner mod was displayed between the other town and train creations. This is a total conversion of the famous Cafe Corner (10182), replacing everything with Friends inspired details. This creation would fit in perfectly in any Heartlake City display, and would be at home in a Modular Building layout.

The entrance into the building can be found on the right side of the building. The first two rooms occupy the second floor, accessible from the narrow staircase. Each room features a stylish bed, and vanity. On the top floor is the penthouse suite. This room is jam packed with a full bathroom, bed, vanity, telephone, chandelier, and even custom curtains.
