Han Solo’s Blaster – A Lego Star Wars Mini MOC

Obedient Machine's Han Solo's Blaster, A Lego Star Wars Mini MOC

Being an infamous scoundrel means that Han Solo has be able to fight (or talk) his way out of any situation. That’s why it is an absolute must to carry a DL-44 heavy blaster pistol. Easy to hide, but still deadly in a firefight. This version of Han Solo’s Blaster is a great mini build. The whole gun is built using just 15, or so, Lego pieces. Including a brown carrot, which might just be the most ingenious use for it yet.

Lego Star Wars: Jabba’s Sail Barge (75020) Reviewed by Csacsa234 @ Eurobricks

Csacsa234's Lego Star Wars Jabba's Sail Barge 75020 Review 01

The new Lego Star Wars: Jabba’s Sail Barge (75020) has officially been released and is starting to show up at some retailers. This set comes with 4 minifigures (Slave Leia, Max Rebo, Weequay, and Ree-Yees), 1 bigfigure (Jabba the Hutt) and 1 droid (R2D2). It contains many hidden play features, and some nice details. Jabba’s Sail Barge comes in at 850 pieces and a $119.99 price tag. Which is a good deal cheaper then the previous Jabba’s Sail Barge (6210) on the secondary market.

Eurobricks user Csacsa234 has already posted a full photo review. Noting that there are hidden pirate cannons, flick firing missiles, undercarriage wheels, a removable deck/roof, and foldable sides/walls. This set is full of play features.

Csacsa234's Lego Star Wars Jabba's Sail Barge 75020 Review 02

Inside Jabba’s Sail Barge is a kitchen, jail, throne room, and a music stage. Max Rebo and his futuristic piano (or is it an organ?) steal the show from Jabba in this set. He just happens to be a perfect Lego minifigure, oozing cuteness and a hot blue color scheme. Interestingly, Lego has provided film (thin plastic) sails for the Sail Barge which will hopefully last a long time. There are also 26 stickers, which luckily are not required. Jabba’s Sail Barge looks great with and without stickers.

Csacsa234's Lego Star Wars Jabba's Sail Barge 75020 Review 03

The Lego minifigures are extremely detailed. With a newish version of R2D2 (grey top, and better printing), Slave Leia, Jabba the Hutt, Ree-Yees, Weequay, and Max Rebo. While the Jabba the Hutt and his goons look great the real star is Max Rebo (sorry Leia). Just look at that little blue dude.

New Lego Star Wars Announced for March 2014: a Lego AT-AP (75043)!

Star Wars Lego AT-AP

This past weekend at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) Lego announced and revealed a whole lot of new sets. One of which is a new Lego Star Wars AT-AP (75043). This is a new version of the older Lego Star Wars AT-AP Walker (7671), which has proven to be extremely hard to find. The AT-AP (All Terrain Attack Pod) made its first appearance in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It looks like this version will feature five minifigures, a Wookie, Clone Trooper, and three Battle Droids. Gone are the bright red and lime green detailing, giving this Lego AT-AP a much more realistic design. Not to mention vastly superior feet and legs. This new Lego AT-AP will include a total of 717 pieces and will priced at $69.99. Due out in March 2014.

San Diego Comic-Con (2013) Lego Exclusives: Micro Bag End & Star Wars: Jek-14 Starfighter

SDCC LOTR Micro Scale Bag End Lego Exclusives

Not only does Lego have some extremely rare exclusive minifigures at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) this year, but they are also offering two exclusive sets. A Lego Micro Scale Bag End set and a Lego Star Wars: Jek-14 Mini Stealth Starfighter set. Each set features one minifigure and about 100-130 pieces. Limited to a production run of 1,000 sets each, these exclusives will sell out quickly. These two sets are first come, first serve, so if you happen to be lucky enough to be at SDCC this year make sure to get their early. They will be on sale for 39.99.

These Lego exclusives don’t seem to be that amazing, with figures and builds that don’t seem too special. Although the Jek-14 minifigure is an exclusive figure. Which means the secondary market for Jek-14 is going to be insane.

Lego Star Wars: Ewok Village (10236) Reviewed by Jared Chan

The recently announced Lego Star Wars: Ewok Village (10236) has been reviewed early. This massive new Lego set has an announced release date of September 2013. With 1,990 pieces and a price tag of $249.99 this is a massive Lego Ewok Village. The whole set comes with a total of 16 minifigures. Four complete brick built trees with a canopy village, make this one of the largest Lego sets out there. The Star Wars: Ewok Village is bound to become a legend.

Jared Chan's Lego Ewok Village 10236 Review

The new Lego Ewok Village offers a lot of earth tone bricks. Including reddish brown, dark brown, tan, dark tan, dark orange, medium dark flesh, dark green, sand green, green, etc. Based on this selection this set may become the best place to source pieces for landscape / castle / and forest MOCs. All of these bricks come together for an extremely sturdy playset, with many hidden features. Also note, that this set includes the new 3×3 plate that has long been requested for release.

Jared Chan's Lego Star Wars: Ewok Village 10236 Detail Review

Jared Chan, from Legend Bricks, received an early Ewok Village from the Lego Group. He then promptly reviewed it in extreme detail. Jared concludes that the set is highly detailed, and offers a whole lot of fun. And, although it is not the most advanced build, it does not disappoint.

NOOO! : Imperium Der Steine, Star Wars Lego MOColympics

markus19840420's Imperium Der Steine Star Wars MOColympics 2

“Nooooo”

George Lucas set out to create a prequel to his most famous trilogy, and the crowning achievement of his work is embodied in this Revenge of the Sith scene. Who will forget the moment when it is revealed that Palpatine has turned Anakin Skywalker into Frankenstein (Darth Vader). NOOO, indeed.

This iconic scene has been recreated in super detail by markus19840420. Featuring a circular design, and some amazing greebling. It is easy to say that this Lego version has surpassed the quality of the original.

Lego CUUSOO 005 Review, NASA’s Mars Rover Curiosity Go!

It is official, NASA’s Mars Rover Curiosity is ready to… launch… as the next Lego CUUSOO project. Coming as no surprise to anyone (they have already approved 3 other science based CUUSOO projects). Curiosity was one of three projects considered, the other two were a Star Wars Jawa Sandcrawler, and a Portal 2 theme. No word was said about the Sandcrawler, but there is a little bit said about Portal 2. I will not ruin the surprise (don’t get too excited), you will have to watch the whole video to learn more.

Other CUUSOO news, still no official word or update on the upcoming Back to the Future Delorean Time Machine. Doc. Brown is getting impatient.
