From The Last Jedi, Luke Versus Kylo Ren

From The Last Jedi, Luke Versus Kylo Ren Lego MOC

The big duel from The Last Jedi is when Luke and Kylo Ren face off on the salty planet of Crait. This Lego MOC called “Luke vs. Kylo Ren on Crait” is the work of BlueBrick. The scene features the striking white and red landscape of Crait. There are two main techniques used to make the scene instantly recognizable. The center is built with the bricks turned up on their sides. Allowing for smaller and more narrow details. This is then integrated and hidden by building a border around everything. These SNOT techniques make great display bases. Kylo is a kicking up the salt while Luke is much more calm. A great detail from the film.

derjoe Lego Star Wars Figures, Bounty Hunters Executor Meeting

Flickr user, -derjoe- has been creating these hilarious Lego Star Wars figures for some time. The proportions and basic geometry work surprisingly well.  The “Bounty Hunters ‘Executor Meeting’ ” is a great recreation of that famous scene from The Empire Strikes Back. These guys are built in a “Klotzkopf-Style” which roughly means “Block Head” in english. These have recently appeared in a book titled “Build Your Own Galaxy: The Big Unofficial Builder’s Book

Skywalker Family Fun / Lego Thanksgiving by DigiNik13

DigiNik13's Skywalker Family Fun Lego Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of those times where the whole family comes together. It doesn’t matter if they are on the Light side or the Dark side. Or if they are part of a Rebel Alliance or a great Empire. It’s a time to set aside differences and get together, and eat way too much food. “Skywalker Family Fun – Dad is about to cut the turkey.” Is a great photo vignette from DigiNik13.

Jared Chan's Lego Ewok Village 10236 Review

The new Lego Ewok Village offers a lot of earth tone bricks. Including reddish brown, dark brown, tan, dark tan, dark orange, medium dark flesh, dark green, sand green, green, etc. Based on this selection this set may become the best place to source pieces for landscape / castle / and forest MOCs. All of these bricks come together for an extremely sturdy playset, with many hidden features. Also note, that this set includes the new 3×3 plate that has long been requested for release.

This week Twitter was lighting up with messages and rumors about an upcoming Star Wars: Ewok Village set. It didn’t take long for Lego to confirm these rumors. With 1,990 pieces and a price tag of $249.99 this is a massive Ewok Village. The Ewok Village is built up around 4 trees and suspended in the canopy. There is so much brown and green that anyone making landscapes should be interested. Most Lego Star Wars sets are really cool starships and speeders, and it is rare to get a diorama or landscape based build. The set has been designed to replicate all of your favorite scenes from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. From the capture of Luke, Han, Chewbacca and Leia to the false worship of C3PO. Lego has even included details to help replicate the celebration after the Death Star is destroyed, for instance a set of drums made of recycled Stormtrooper helmets.

Hopefully more of these massive set pieces are coming in the future.
