Lego Sydney Opera House (10234) Review by Drudoo @ Eurobricks
The new Lego Sydney Opera House (10234) has been reviewed by Drudoo over at Eurobricks. With 2,989 pieces and a $320 price tag, this new Creator set is one of the biggest Lego releases this year. To say that this is only an upgrade to the original Lego Architecture Sydney Opera House (21012) is an understatement. Everything about this set is different and it even hides a few surprises. There are so many pieces and bags that the set comes in multiple boxes, just like the massive Lego Star Wars Death Star (10188). Lego made the smart decision of including the instruction manuals and such in a separate card board reinforced bag. Preventing the problem of bent instruction manuals. It would be nice if this would become standard for all their sets.
As the base for the Opera House is built up, it is noted that this whole set is extremely sturdy. With none of the wobbly problems that some of the larger sets in the past have had. The Lego Sydney Opera House contains so much tan, but does a good job of not being boring. The set really starts to get interesting when building the “sails.” These structures are surprisingly technical, and are not as simple to build as they look. Using a combination of technic and advanced building techniques to achieve the correct angles and placement of every part.
Drudoo is about half way through documenting and reviewing the Lego Sydney Opera House. Make sure to check out the full review for many more pictures and details. Keep an eye out for updates as the Opera house gets completed, they will be coming “as soon as possible.”
A Lego Infantile Cloud Custom Model, Celebrating Guild Wars 2
Two of the best things in the world, Guild Wars 2 and Lego, combine in this Lego Infantile Cloud. Brickstorms is celebrating the Super Adventure Box event in Guild Wars 2 by offering instructions to build your own Infantile Cloud. This tiny Lego creation represents the Super Adventure Box event very accurately. Preserving the retro, 8-bit influenced design seen in game. One could even combine this Infantile Cloud with the Lego Minecraft
sets for a truly epic build.
Brickstorms is kind enough to host detailed instructions so you too can create an Infantile Cloud. As they say: “Download the instructions and build your own rainbow hovering friend today.”

Lego Minifigures Online, An MMO for 2014
It looks like another Lego video game is on its way. This time it is an MMO style game where you are collecting the various minifigure characters and their powers. It looks like an interesting way to combine the collectable minifigures into their own video game. Lets hope that Funcom and Lego can keep this one online longer then the short lived Lego Universe.
“Get ready! The minifigures are coming! Get ready to collect your favorite minifigures, master their unique abilities and bring them out on grand adventures through themed LEGO worlds together with thousands of other players! LEGO® Minifigures Online is launching on PC, iOS and Android platforms during the second half of 2014.
For more information visit Funcom.com or LEGO.com/minifigures.”

A Lego Cabin Cuckoo Clock, with Video
Cuckoo Clocks are fun. Lego is fun. What could go wrong. Nothing. Not only is this Lego Cabin Cuckoo Clock a great clock, but it is a strong tudor style home MOC. The clock is almost a bonus. Some of the detailing is notable, like the chimney, the roofing details, and the propeller thingy. While this Lego Cuckoo Clock doesn’t keep time, it does have some automated features. A little bird flies in and out of the homes attic, while the clock spins out of control. Check out the video here:

Lego The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Teaser Trailer
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is almost here. Which means we are hitting the peak of The Hobbit fever. BrotherhoodWorkshop went and made the original teaser trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and reshot it, scene for scene in Lego. These type of videos represent a whole lot of work, with many unique Lego scenes and minifigures. The best are almost not noticeable.
For reference check out the original (non-Lego) trailer:

Look At These Tiny Lego Robots!
Look at these tiny Lego robots. They look so cute, you almost want to give them a hug (watch out for the chainsaw arms!). These WIFFY robots are the creation of Flickr user F L A V I O. They look like they belong in a Mega Man video game. And, could fit in with the Tachikoma walker/robots from the Ghost in the Shell universe. In which case lets hope they never learn to revolt and overthrow their human masters. Their cuteness could kill us all.

This Lego Gingerbread Man is Half Robot, Half Biscuit, Still Delicious
Get ready for X-Mas, because this season is going to be deliciously deadly.
Lego minifigures are completely modular. You can change and swap their heads, torsos and legs. To go a little bit further, with a little force you can even swap their arms, individual legs, and hands. Meaning that with just a few minifigures you can combine all the various pieces into many different characters. The only limitation is your imagination.
The gingerbread man is part of the recently released Minifigures Series 11: http://everydaybricks.com/lego-minifigures-series-11-reviewed-by-whitefang-eurobricks/
