Lego Moe’s Tavern, Where The Elite Meet To Drink

For a little while Lego made a couple of sets and Minifigures based on The Simpsons. There has been the Simpsons House, and the Kwik-E-Mart. These two sets are great, and showcase just how well the Simpsons can fit into the Lego world. But, since then there hasn’t been much. Just a Brickheadz release. One location that would be perfect as a set would be Moe’s Tavern.

As this famous Tavern serves a variety of alcoholic drinks, many people think that excludes it from being an official set. Which means fans need to build their own. Which is exactly what Dylan Lane has done with his Lego Moe’s Tavern. This build matches the classic brown and purple color scheme, and even features brick built stained glass windows. The sign is an excellent build and uses a lot of the techniques found in the official modular sets. You can find that Homer just can’t wait to get inside, and have Duff Beer.

A Lego Barbershop Build

This little Lego Barbershop build is the creation of Maxim Baybakov. This little corner has all the features of a classic barbershop. A waiting area, the comfy chairs, pictures of haircuts on the wall, gigantic mirrors, and even all the tools. The classic checkerboard style floor tiles probably took a long time to get lined up straight. A couple of stand out details include the Minifigure sweeping up the cut hair (which is made out a bunch of black Lego horns) and the white Minifigure beard representing shaving cream. There are a lot of great ideas in this Lego MOC. Such as how the chairs use gold bananas as armrests. My favorite detail though, is the jar of Barbicide on the counter.

Carter's Secret Mansion. A Lego Escape Game.

This is Carter’s Secret a Lego mansion created by Think Brick Studio. The build contains over 2,900 pieces with three Minifigures. The characters found around the mansion include Carter, Oria and Toms. The house has been designed as a modular building, with six separate and removable parts. The finished build looks like an old run down building out in the middle of the woods. The only clue that something is not so simple is the huge planetarium off to the side. The mansion is actually a huge playset, with an open back. This design comes in handy when you start to uncover the mysteries inside.

The mansion is hiding many secrets. As this is a Lego Escape Game. You have exactly 60 minutes to uncover all the mysteries and save the lead Minifigure Newt Carter. The game is set in four stages. The first of which has you entering the mansion on the ground floor. After you figure out what is going on, you will slowly reveal more rooms to the mansion until it is complete. Will you be able to make it to the planetarium and save the day?

I run a very great danger, only you can succeed in getting me out of this mess. In my rush, I just damaged my old machine, it will self-destruct in an hour! I got stuck in it. Join me in the planetarium as soon as possible and activate the telescope. But for that, you will have to look for the bulb on the second floor! Be quick, I need some oxygen supply!”

The Lego SeaDragon Needs An Ace Pilot

Airplanes are only as good as their pilots. A well loved, well taken care of, well piloted plane can take you anywhere. This Lego airplane called the “SeaDragon” is the creation of Sylon-tw. An ace pilot is exactly what this sea plane needs. The prop plane has been build using SNOT techniques, and the few exposed studs represent steel rivets. A giant engine is needed to fly this propeller plane, and this one has details using little Minifigure pistols. The cockpit is open, but contains all the features needed. A seat, dials, and joystick are all present in Lego. The wing airfoils are a great shape, and the flaps look especially good. All bringing this together is a careful use of custom stickers.

Great Scott! A Lego Back To The Future Tensegrity Build

Emmet Brown would approve of combining Lego and Tensegrity Sculptures. The concept of a system of tension that can support itself, while not actually interacting with itself is a neat idea. They often create optical illusions where heavy things can appear to be floating. This Lego Delorean is perfectly balanced and is ultimately being help up by just three strings. There have been some basic versions of this trick, but lately they have been more and more complicated/themed. This Lego Back To The Future Tensegrity build is the creation of hachiroku24. The theming is great. The base depicts part of a road, and the unpaved shoulder on the side. With Marty on a brick built hoverboard. He is connected to one of the stings, which is a clever way to make him look like he is really hovering. In the end this is a perfect way to display a Lego Back to the Future 2 themed Delorean.

The Battle Teddy Bears Work For Hugs

This little blue teddy bear is ready to defend its owner at all costs. Hugs are all it needs to keep those monsters out of your bedroom. These Lego Battle Teddy Bears are the creation of Sacha Wittwer. It is an extremely small power armor build. These little builds are a great challenge and they seem to be very popular. Most of the smallest of these suits are around five or six studs tall. This little bear comes in around four studs. It features fully working legs, a claw for one hand, and a huge gun for the other. Even the bears arms fit into 1×1 round studs, making it look like it really is suited up for a fight.

Majora’s Mask, A Lego Legend of Zelda MOC

Majora’s Mask is one of the most famous items in the Legend of Zelda series. The mysterious mask ends up in the Skull Kids hands. Where it eventually influences the wearer to destroy Termina with the help from an evil moon. This Lego version of the mask is the creation of speedyhead. The build features the colorful mask displayed on a stand. The mask recreates the weirdly hypnotic eyes surprisingly well. With red Lego croissants used to recreate the red outlines. The rainbow colored horns/spikes match the video game too. Leave it to Nintendo to make one of the most evil items so colorful. Just make sure to never put the mask on, maybe it is best if the Happy Mask Salesman keeps it for now.

DoodleBot – The Lego Robot

There are so many Lego Robots out there. And many many more come into being every day. There are so many ways to build them. Big or small or really small? Sleek or complicated? This Lego Robot is called DoodleBot, and it is small and sleek. Created by Ivan Martynov, who specializes in weird mechanical beings. What makes DoodleBot stand out is the armor plating. The big curvy shapes have been matched and put together surprisingly well. Underneath all that armor is a complicated build or joints and connectors. The metal tube arms and legs are wonderfully retro. All of which is supporting a unique head. The 1×1 transparent orange bulbs make great eyes, and the Lego Minifigure ratchets works well as antennas.

Lego Twin Peaks And The Black Lodge

In the small town of Twin Peaks something strange has been going on. FBI agent Dale Cooper is on the case of a mysterious murder. Along the way, there are some weird dreams, larger than life characters, and some damn fine coffee. Throughout the investigation Coop keeps finding himself in The Black Lodge (also known as the red room, and the waiting room). This Lego version is the creation of Dylan Lane. They have recreated the red curtains, modern furniture, and zig zag flooring. The curtains are brick built and look just as mysterious as on the television show. The iconic flooring is made out of a bunch of 1×2 flat place turned up on their sides. This Lego Twin Peaks build also features a handful of characters. Including: FBI Agent Dale Cooper, the Giant Man, the Man From Another Place, Laura Palmer, the Log Lady, and Bob. All of which use official Lego parts.

You Encountered A Lego Shiny Charizard!

The Lego Shiny Charizard may be the rarest Pokémon of them all. Most Pokémon can be caught easily as long as you know where they are hiding. But, every once in a while you might see a super rare shiny version. These alternate color versions pop up so rarely that you may only catch one or two while playing the video game. This Lego Shiny Charizard is created by Tiago Catarino. They put in around 2,500 Lego pieces into this model. The stand out features are the brick built wings, and the flaming tail. The designer mentions creating an orange version of the Charizard, but only if their YouTube video gets enough likes.
