Mecha Pikachu Used Thunder!

Pikachu starts out with a lot of cute moves, such as growl and charm. Eventually learning much more deadly attacks. Mecha Pikachu skips all that and knows all the best electric moves. This Lego MOC of Mech Pikachu is created by Lego 7. This Lego figure combines two of the best things: Pokémon and Robots. It has a full range of motion with multiple articulation points. With joints in the feet, knees, shoulders, elbows, writs, fingers, head, tail, and ears it means that this Pikachu is ready for any fight. The build comes with a detailed base, with a pokeball mural and spotlights. The model uses a lot of interesting yellow pieces, mainly construction themed stuff. The striped plates, and various fenders gives Pikachu the appearance of a Transformer. Maybe some secret hidden evolution.

Curl Up With This Mecha Nautilus

This Lego Nautilus is created by Mitsuru Nikaido. Specifically it is a Mecha Nautilus Mk2-10. This robotic sea creature features a grey and white color palette, there is no color here. The design is amazingly complicated. A system of clips and hinges create the spiral shape, and a whole lot of white plates protect it from harm. There are some surprising Lego pieces to be found. A part of an airplane jet engine is used for the top of the Nautilus, a few Bionicle pieces are around the top, and a Hero Factory logo/icon piece is used for the eye. The tentacle/feeler propulsion system looks especially good. The end result is a very organic Mech, kinda like something you might find in Horizon Zero Dawn.

Say Hello To The ByeByeBye Squad

The ByeByeBye Squad is a trio of mechanical women ready to conquer whatever stands in their way. This Lego MOC is created by Letranger Absurde as a part of the Decisive Action 4: Hammer to Fall group (A collection of Lego stuff that is building a fictional world). These three Minifigures have given up their bodies for new power armor. These type of robots always prove to be extremely creative, and very fragile. Starting on the left there is blonDIE, Shearleader, and dR3d. Each character has their own specialty. BlonDIE is outfitted in an urban mech which features a pneumatic hammer, and laser eyes. Shearleader has chosen the arctic armor, which comes with duel chainsaws and shoulder mounted cannons. While dR3d is wearing a volcano suit that comes equipped with a mechanical machete. You do not want to come across them without some backup.

The Lego Neko-Robo Companion

This Neko-Robo Companion is a Lego robot built by Jack Frost. Programmed with over 500 emotional responses you will never be lonely again. The robot is an entry into the Bio-Cup 2020 challenge. The companion has a few interesting features including a television for a head, and what looks like a microphone for a tail. In terms of a Lego creation make sure to check out some of the inventive part usage. The Lego shock-absorbers can be found being used as feet, a few springs add some detail to the mechanics, the flower used for decoration, and a pair of Lego tires used for wrists. The figure features a good amount of articulated joints, which means that it can be posed in many different ways. Although with such small feet, it might be hard to find a good balance.

Out On A Walk With The Space Buds

Nothing is better than stretching some robot legs and going for a walk. Especially when you are cooped up in a space station all day. This pair of Space Buds is created by bluebrick. Created as an entry into Vignweek 2020, a space themed Lego vignette challenge. These two astronauts are just hanging out in their high tech powered walkers. The walkers are the focus of this Lego MOC, and they are surprisingly detailed. The feet in particular are huge compared to their Minifigure pilots. You would probably have a hard time pushing these over. The legs are topped off with pilot seats. Safety seems to be a priority as each pilot is encased by the walker, they have a heavy duty steering system, and even headrests. The build is finished with a super simple SNOT style base.

A Pair Of Robots — A Lego MOC

This cute pair of robots is a Lego MOC created by R 194. The two of them look very similar but they are actually very different. Almost like a deluxe model and a junior model. The heads are based on a 2×3 shape. The difference in their eye design is interesting. Both work well. The bigger model has one major upgraded feature compared to its smaller version. It has ears. The big robot also has improved arms with an elbow joint, and improved legs with knees. Another interesting detail that works well is that the big robot has a slightly different design for both its feet. It helps give is a bit more personality.

A Robot Boy And His Robot Dog

Even robots need their pets in this Lego MOC called “A Boy and his Dog” created by Ivan Martynov. Built for the Two of a Kind contest. Both of these robots have a lot of personality. The robot boy is a cute mini build. A few of the interesting pieces include the tiny elbow pieces for feet, the orb piece for a hand. The face is well done, but who knows what Lego pieces are being used. The robot dog is interesting as it has some complicated feet. The variety of transparent orange pieces used for the eyes almost make it seem spider-like. The two of them together offer a great contrast between different styles of robots. Based on their size, I’m sure that the robot dog will be walking the robot boy.

The Sandstorm IV — A Lego Mech

This is the Sandstorm IV, a Lego Mech created by Joe. This deadly robot has been optimized for dry climates and deserts. A wide stance, and large feet help it move in the shifting sands. With a yellow and white paint job that helps it to blend into its surroundings. The contrast between the white and dark parts means that it can be hard to see the pilot. They are present and ready for battle. This is a really interesting Lego Mech. The overall design looks very sleek. It features a mechanical look with some excellent greebling. The few extra hoses and vent / grill pieces help make this look more believable. Although its feet help it stand, the spindly joints in the hips and knees means that it needs a little bit of support.

Just How Do Those Westworld Robots Work?

Westworld is an interesting show. The robots that exist in the park are incredibly lifelike. So human that even the people behind the scenes have a hard time identifying robot from human. The show goes into great detail on how these mechanical people are created. Robot arms work endlessly to print muscle and tissue, bit by bit. The milky white bodies make for a very artistic image. The problem is that the show also goes to great lengths to not show how these Westworld Robots work. How do their white bodies end up looking like flesh? What is their power source? This Lego MOC is a recreation of the iconic scene in the opening credits. “Westworld Host Printing” is created by Mitch Phillips. The figure in the circle is an especially impressive build. Almost as complicated as printing a real robot. You can see a lot of Lego pieces, such as horns, clips, robot harms, teeth and bones. Maybe it is a tiny Power Functions motor operating these bots?

The Silver Nail, A Lego Android

This is the deadly Lego android named Silver Nail, created by Moko. The first striking thing about his figure is the use of a lot of silver plated Lego pieces. A very rare color in the Lego world. You can find a lot of surprising parts in this android. There are a few golden rings used in the fingers, and elbow. Count Dooku’s light saber hilt helps make up the fingers, as do some silver knifes. The silver is contrasted with a black and white design, and vibrant purple hair. An inside out Lego tire is used to make a skirt, which does not prevent the figure from taking any pose that it wants. There is a lot of articulation built into this mech. Double jointed knees, ankles, toes, hips, shoulders, elbows, hands, fingers, head, and even each strand of hair.
