Curl Up With This Mecha Nautilus

Curl Up With This Mecha Nautilus, Lego MOC

This Lego Nautilus is created by Mitsuru Nikaido. Specifically it is a Mecha Nautilus Mk2-10. This robotic sea creature features a grey and white color palette, there is no color here. The design is amazingly complicated. A system of clips and hinges create the spiral shape, and a whole lot of white plates protect it from harm. There are some surprising Lego pieces to be found. A part of an airplane jet engine is used for the top of the Nautilus, a few Bionicle pieces are around the top, and a Hero Factory logo/icon piece is used for the eye. The tentacle/feeler propulsion system looks especially good. The end result is a very organic Mech, kinda like something you might find in Horizon Zero Dawn.

The Lego Ultra Mecha Dragon

The Lego Ultra Mecha Dragon

The Ultra Mecha Dragon is a Lego MOC built by Christian Lintan. This is a scaled up version of their Mecha Dragon. This big beast is over four feet long, and two feet high. Just big enough to ride most rollercoasters. Monochromatic Lego creations are pretty rare. The only thing not white on this dragon are the eyes, which are transparent clear pieces. It is hard to build something interesting when you limit yourself so much. This dragon is a great example of overcoming that challenge. The use of patterns is excellent. Alternating between SNOT building techniques and reverse studs helps to give the impression of scales. Each segment of the body is also accented with some Lego teeth. The end result is a good example of not over detailing a model.

Lets Build Lego Rainbows Together

Lets Build Lego Rainbows Together

“Lets Build Together” is a Lego creation built by Tiago Catarino. A bunch of Lego Minifigures are creating a rainbow together. It is a great message that we as people can come together and build great things. The monochrome Minifigures are all different, not an easy thing to pull together. The bright colors limit what each figure is made out of. They will certainly need to work together to finish their Lego rainbow. This Lego MOC is an entry into the Lego challenge, #LetsBuildTogether. The goal is to build and share rainbows, and Lego will donate 500,000 sets to children in need.

The Monochrome Lego Black Pearl

The Monochrome Lego Black Pearl

The Black Pearl is the infamous pirate ship captained by Jack Sparrow, of the Pirates of the Caribbean films. All the way back to its humble beginnings the ship was known as the Wicked Wench. Captain Jack would eventually make a deal with Davy Jones transforming the galleon into the Black Pearl. Since then it has been through a lot of adventures. Even ending up inside a bottle for a while. This monochrome Lego Black Pearl is the creation of Henjin_Quilones. It was built as an entry into the Style If Up contest. Where the challenge was to build something with only one color. This Lego MOC is a great build. It is smaller than the official Lego pirate ships, but somehow this one feels just as detailed. The super tiny cannons and rolled up black sails are especially great.
