Double Trouble with the Despicable Me Minions And Lego!

Miro78's Despicable Me Minions Double Trouble Rocket

Despicable Me 2 is almost out on DVD/Blu-ray which means that the Minions have been getting in trouble again. Double trouble. Look out, these two have been experimenting with rocketry. Double Trouble, is the creation of Miro78. These Minions look like they use more common Lego pieces then other models. The use of the old(ish) Lego smily brick is perfect, and the red slope is a great tongue. As usual these are a perfect fit with Lego, preserving the goofy Minion personality with a minimum of bricks.

Lego Adventure Time Main Title

Cartoon Network has created a promo for Adventure Time where they completely redid the Main Title in Lego. The end result is a very well done recreation, showcasing many different styles of Lego building. This Lego Adventure Time looks so good it raises the demand for an official Adventure Time theme.

“(Lego) Adventure Time, C’mon grab your friends, We’ll go to very distant lands. With Jake the Dog and Finn the Human, The fun will never end, it’s (Lego) Adventure Time!”

Now lets see a Lego version for “Cake the Cat and Fionna the Human.”

Despicable Me Minion “BEE-DO. BEE-DO.”

CarMP's Lego Despicable Me Minion Bee Do

“Bee-Do. Bee-Do.”

Despicable Me Minions and Lego seem to go together like cheese and crackers. Case in point, the many, many other Despicable Me Minions in Lego. One of the most recognizable Minions is the little guy with the sirens on his head. The most perfect and worst fire alarm you could have. This little guy manages to combine a lot of the best Minion styles. A nice 3D body (which is a lot harder to build then you might think), a great expressive expression, and the perfect goggles. This Despicable Me Minion even manages to have posable fingers, and wonderful trans-red sirens on this head.

Despicable Me Mini Minion

MaxPointner's Lego Despicable Me Mini Minion

There are many Lego Despicable Me Minions out there. Currently one of the most popular themes in Lego. Just like in the film, these Minions come in all shapes and sizes. The Mini Minion is one of the tiniest ones out there. Yet it manages to preserve the character and personality that these little creatures possess. Created with just six Lego pieces, you would be hard pressed to use less. A clip, hat, two hands, a Lego head, and binoculars (plus some string) is all you need.

Super Cute Lego Chip and Dale, the classic Disney cartoon duo.

MAndM's Lego Chip 'N' Dale Group

Chip and Dale are one of those classic Disney cartoon duos. The two managed to get into trouble often, with Dale leading the way and Chip having to clean up his messes. Originally created in 1943, Chip ’n’ Dale were extremely popular throughout the 1950s. The duo had a huge come back in the late 1980s with Chip ’n Dale Rescue Rangers. Where the two formed a private detective agency. Teaming up with Monterey “Monty” Jack, Gadget Hackwrench, and Zipper. Disney has seemed to have forgotten Chip and Dale everywhere except in Japan, where the two chipmunks are still extremely popular.

MAndM's Lego Chip and Dale, Chip

M and M has built this charming vignette of Chip and Dale in Lego. Using a variety of Lego bricks, these chipmunks have been rendered amazingly well. Especially the faces. Chip and Dale are almost identical, except for their faces. Chip with a black nose, and a large tooth. And, Dale with a red nose and two buck teeth.

Lego Macross VF-1 Valkyrie + Fast Pack + Armored by maxvf1

maxvf1's Lego Cuusoo: Lego Macross VF-1 Valkyrie + Fast Pack + Armored

Macross (also know as Robotech) is one of the most famous anime series from Japan (Gundam being the other). First appearing on television in 1982, Macross has been steadily available across a variety of formats. The most recent incarnation is the movie Macross FB 7: Ore no Uta o Kike! (Macross Dynamite 7: 15th Anniversary) and the Macross 30: The Voice that Connects the Galaxy video game. This science fiction series is centered around gigantic mecha robots known as variable fighters (veritech fighters in the Robotech variation). These variable/veritech fighters, commonly referred to as Valkyries were essential during the first Human-Alien war.

The VF-1 Valkyrie looks like a modern fighter aircraft, but it has the ability to transform into different modes/configurations. The standard space/jet fighter mode, the GERWALK (guardian) mode, and the Battroid (Battloid) mode. The GERWALK resembles a “chicken walker” style mecha and has VTOL capabilities. While Battroid mode is a full humanoid mecha. The pilot of the Valkyrie is Hikaru Ichijyo.

maxvf1's Lego Cuusoo: Lego Macross VF-1 Valkyrie

The Lego Macross VF-1 Valkyrie + Fast Pack + Armored is the creation of maxvf1, and has a fully detailed Lego CUUSOO proposal. The proposal is for a single VF-1 Valkyrie that can transform between all three modes (Fighter, GERWALK, Battroid) while retaining the detailing and design from the Macross series. The designer, maxvf1 has even included many variations that could be produced. Including the VF-1S and VF-1J. Although the focus is on the VF-1 Valkyrie. Even a hanger dock and Armored variations have been proposed.

maxvf1's Lego Cuusoo: Lego Macross VF-S Valkyrie

These Macross Valkyries are extremely well made. Featuring fully posable articulation, and transformations (check out the YouTube video below). These are exceptionally accurate models. If for whatever reason this project never makes it out of the CUUSOO process it would be great if instructions could be provided. Mecha MOCs are always in demand.

The designer of these VF-1 Valkyrie mechas, maxvf1, has kept up a great and detailed Lego CUUSOO page here: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/638

The use of the Lego Magnifying Glass is impeccable, and the eyes are decivingly clever (white Lego round plate with hole, and brown pneumatic tubing). Tessa And Her Despicable Me Minions

LegoTessa's Despicable Me Minions

The supervillain Gru has a whole army of Minions. They come in all shape and sizes, but have one thing in common, they are all lacking in the intelligence department. For Minions, oddly enough, they have a whole lot of heart. Often finding themselves in situations of maximum comedy. With the new movie (Despicable Me 2) almost here, a whole lot of Despicable Me MOCs have been popping up. Tessa has created an amazingly simple version of Lego Minions. Using a small amount of common Lego pieces, almost anyone can create these little guys. They sure are cute.

Tessa has even provided simple instructions, showing how to put these little guys together. Make sure to check it out over at YouTube: http://youtu.be/BCh5njxThm0

Lego Adventure Time with Lemongrab

MrScareChrome's Lemongrab Face

A Lego version of Adventure Time with Finn & Jake would make a great theme. The sheer craziness that is the Land of Ooo has created many great characters. For instance the Earl of Lemongrab, pictured above. Lemongrab happens to be one of those characters who have spun out of control and cause huge headaches for Finn & Jake. This build uses a Lego banana perfectly. I wonder what a Lego version of the Lemon Children would look like.
