An Afternoon Nap With Lego Snoopy And Woodstock

An Afternoon Nap With Lego Snoopy And Woodstock

A peaceful afternoon nap. Snoopy is an expert at those. He is a dog after all. Too bad Woodstock seems to have other plans, but only if he can wake up his best friend. This Peanuts inspired Lego Snoopy and Woodstock is the creation of Tyler Sky. It also features the iconic red roofed dog house, and a little tree. Snoopy is napping, but he can get up and move around too. His head, arms (feet?), and feet are all articulated and can be posed in lots of different ways. If you look carefully you can just make it out that Snoopy’s nose is a black spaceman/motorcycle helmet. Woodstock is perched in his nest getting ready for the day. This duo was submitted into Lego Ideas, but sadly it did not get enough votes. Hopefully they can wake up and try again someday.

Lego Indiana Jones Is Adventuring Out Of Your TV

Lego Indiana Jones Is Adventuring Out Of Your TV - That’s not something that I expected!

Lego Indiana Jones is adventuring out of your TV. This Lego MOC is created by Lego_nuts, and titled “That’s not something that I expected!” The whole build was centered around the idea of “…shifting from different spaces, or dimensions…” with Indiana busting out of a television. The TV itself is very impressive and the retro design is spot on. The wooden feet and antenna are present, as are the radial dials on the front. The waterfall is always a tricky Lego build, and this one is good. Using different types of blues, solid, and transparent bricks help to give the water depth. Something usually missing from Lego water. What pulls everything together is the lighting. Multiple sources of lights (lantern, cave, water, treasure chest, and global) really help to pull everything together. Lego Indiana Jones has never looks so nice.

The New Narrative Of Lego Westworld

Lego Westworld

Westworld is an interesting show. Originally based off a book by Michael Crichton. The newest version is a complicated narrative about humans and androids. While navigating the amoral Wild West, everyone seems to be trying to solve The Maze. A way to unlock the trapped android mind. This collection of Lego Westworld themed Minifigures is the creation of XxDeadmanzZ. Almost all the main characters have been represented here: Maeve Millay, William, Teddy Flood, Bernard Lowe, Opening Credits Figure, Robert Ford, Dolores Abernathy, The Man in Black, Logan, and Hector Escaton. Can any of them escape, or are they stuck in the new narrative?

Chapter 1: The Mandalorian, A Lego MOC

Chapter 1: The Mandalorian, A Lego MOC

The Mandalorian has certainly left a mark on people. There are an incredibly large amount of MOCs being created based on the Disney Plus Star Wars Show. Here is “Chapter 1: The Mandalorian” created by @ctr_bricks. It is based on the first scene, and some of the details were really worked hard on. The door is made of overlapping flag pieces, and the trim around the door was made with a lot of horizontal bar pieces. It created a great effect. The other key to this scene are the characters, with lego versions of Mando, Mythrol, Garindan, and Quarren. It seems this is the first in a series. Hopefully we will see many more!

Aqua Teen Hunger Force is one of the most famous television shows from Adult Swim. With 11 seasons and a theatrical movie, they have done a lot. Even got mixed up in a marketing campaign that involved bombs, terrorism, and police. Here, suspectdevice87 has created a Lego Aqua Teen Hunger Force MOC. Featuring the three main characters. Meatwad, Frylock, and Master Shake. They look ready to annoy their South New Jersey neighbors, the Mooninites, and everybody in their way.

Unboxing The New Family TV

”A family has bought a new TV during the 70s” Lego MOC

This great Lego MOC is titled “A family has bought a new TV during the 70s” and is the creation of Johan Alexanderson (Jalex). They ended up using some reference photos to make sure the 1970s feeling was accurate. The end result is uncanny. Especially the old console television; I can just imagine the wooden walnut veneer. The packaging/box is also a stand out detail. It would probably take a whole Lego Minifigure family to move this TV. It also looks like a super reductive version of the famous Vincent van Gogh painting “The Starry Night” hanging on the wall.

“The idea for this creation simply came from memories when I was a kid and the exciting moment when my family came home with a brand new TV.”

The Lego Simpsons. Mr Burns & Bobo.

Shannon Sproule Lego Simpsons Mr Burns & Bobo

“Bobo, I know I say this every century, but I’ll never leave you behind again.” — Mr. Burns

The Simpsons and Lego are full of many possibilities. Shannon Sproule has re-created one of the more odd scenes from the animated television show. This Lego futuristic Mr. Burns is based on Rosebud episode, from season 5. The setting is the year 1,000,000 A.D. and Mr. Burns has finally reacquires his beloved stuffed animal, with the help of a robotic dog Smithers.

“Every day, once a day, give yourself a present.” – Twin Peaks Lego Minifigures

Citizen Brick Twin Peaks Lego Minifigures

“Harry, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don’t plan it. Don’t wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men’s store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.” — Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks is a David Lynch directed television show focused on a  small Pacific Northwest town that started to unravel when Laura Palmer was found murdered. The original show changed television and has gained cult status in popular culture. After more then 20 years, the show is emerging from a cave with a new show/season.

Citizen Brick created an extremely limited run of Lego Minifigures based on some of the most memorable characters. Dale Cooper, Laura Palmer, Audrey Horne, the Log Lady, and the Man from Another Place. These 5 Lego Minifigs were available for $60, but have since sold out.

This Lego Transformers Optimus Prime Is More Than Meets The Eye

Ralph S's Lego Transformers Optimus Prime Truck

Lego and Transformers seems like a pretty good match. The problem is that the recent movies and the cartoons take extreme liberties in the design. Usually there is no way these robots could fit into a tiny car. Since a computer can cheat and hide away a lot of the conflicting elements, the films get away with this. When you are working in Lego these conflicts need to be carefully worked out. Ralph S has created an extremely detailed Lego Optimus Prime. What separates this from all the other Lego Transformers MOCs is that this one can actually transform. The truck from is a good looking Lego MOC, even if you didn’t know what was hiding inside. Then with some careful transforming, Optimus Prime, stands tall. At 45-50cm in height, this makes the models scale at 1/22. Even better Optimus can stand on his own (although don’t sneeze around him, and don’t tell the Decepticons).

The Lego Big Bang Theory (21302) Review At Brickset

Lego The Big Bang Theory Cover

It has finally happened, the new Lego Ideas #010 set The Big Bang Theory (21302) has been released. If you made it to San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) this year, you were able to get your hands on the new set a few weeks early. As for the rest of the world, we will need to wait until August 1st. The whole thing is made up of 479 pieces and will be priced at $€59.99. This is not a cheap set, and the price per piece is high.

Brickset has posted one of the first reviews of this set (here). The review is full of high resolution photos, and walks you through the basic build process. It is also sprinkled with comments from Alice, who just happens to be a fan of The Big Bang Theory. Make sure to read the whole review!

“I think it’s a great set for TBBT fans that are not already LEGO fans because even I, who hasn’t played with LEGO for 10 years, wanted to build it just so I could recreate the set.…”
