Lego Despicable Me Minion Party

It looks like the Lego Despicable Me Minions are having a party, celebrating the release of their new film: Despicable Me 2! These goofy guys make for some great Lego MOC figures. Full of personality and charm, these Minions will be there when you need them. Just don’t expect them to successfully assemble that Ages 6+ Lego set. These Lego Minions are the creation of derjoe, and can be found over on Flickr. The use of the Lego Magnifying Glass is impeccable, and the eyes are decivingly clever (white Lego round plate with hole, and brown pneumatic tubing). These Minions sure have a lot of SNOT (Studs Not on Top) going on!

Tessa And Her Despicable Me Minions

The supervillain Gru has a whole army of Minions. They come in all shape and sizes, but have one thing in common, they are all lacking in the intelligence department. For Minions, oddly enough, they have a whole lot of heart. Often finding themselves in situations of maximum comedy. With the new movie (Despicable Me 2) almost here, a whole lot of Despicable Me MOCs have been popping up. Tessa has created an amazingly simple version of Lego Minions. Using a small amount of common Lego pieces, almost anyone can create these little guys. They sure are cute.

Lego Adventure Time with Lemongrab

A Lego version of Adventure Time with Finn & Jake would make a great theme. The sheer craziness that is the Land of Ooo has created many great characters. For instance the Earl of Lemongrab, pictured above. Lemongrab happens to be one of those characters who have spun out of control and cause huge headaches for Finn & Jake. This build uses a Lego banana perfectly. I wonder what a Lego version of the Lemon Children would look like.

Shinjen the Samurai

Shinjen the Samurai is a wonderful Lego figure. Packed full of little details with amazing Lego building skills. Using a combination of Lego bricks, Bionicle and Hero Factory almost seamlessly. The design for Shinjin is based from the idea of a hybrid of the Chinese lion statue and the samurai. The green eyes, built with the Lego lime dome really help to sell this little guy. Using the balljoints for the hair/lion mane is another great unique use. And, the shingled armor around the waist is actually built with a piece I have never seen, but it looks good.

Skylanders: Shroomboom & Trigger Happy

I Scream Clone and Taz-Maniac have created a pair of Skylanders Lego MOCs. Skylanders is a genre busting series of Action Figures that you can collect and play inside a digital world. First showing up a few years ago, the concept and execution of the Skylanders system completely surprised everyone. The pure popularity of the game/figure system means Activision is printing gold. Here, in Lego, are two of the Skylanders: Giants characters, Shroomboom and Trigger Happy. They use many of the more advanced building techniques which in this case makes them a bit more fragile. These two little creatures sure look cute, but I’m sure they can hold their own.

Sadly these will not work with your Portal of Power. Maybe someday.
