The Lego Friends Stay Fit In This Exercise Room

drspock888's Lego Friends Exercise Room

Even the Lego Friends should spend some time in the gym. This Lego Exercise Room is the creation of dr_spock_888. It features a stationary bike, a variety of  weights, a hydration station, and boombox. Everything you need to get your heart rate up. This MOC is relatively simple, but it works well. Instantly recognizable. Keep it simple is what they say. There might even be more pieces in the flooring then everything else combined. Maybe. Who knew that Mia was such a body builder, even the little cat is amazed!

More Details About That Charming Lego Friends: Lovely Hotel

Lego Friends Lovely Hotel

The Lego Friends: Lovely Hotel is extremely charming and popular. This Lego MOC is amazingly difficult to find, but a few more photos of this modular hotel have surfaced. The Lovely Hotel made its first appearance at the Fujiyama Lego Camp ’12. This pink and purple Cafe Corner mod was displayed between the other town and train creations. This is a total conversion of the famous Cafe Corner (10182), replacing everything with Friends inspired details. This creation would fit in perfectly in any Heartlake City display, and would be at home in a Modular Building layout.

When entering the Hotels front entrance an Ice Cream parlor can be found on the first floor. Here the Lego Friends can chill out and watch the coming and goings of the crowded streets outside. The entrance into the building can be found on the right side of the building. The first two rooms occupy the second floor, accessible from the narrow staircase. Each room features a stylish bed, and vanity. On the top floor is the penthouse suite. This room is jam packed with a full bathroom, bed, vanity, telephone, chandelier, and even custom curtains.

These Learning Lego Bookends Hold Knowledge

Deborah Higdon's Lego Bookends

You can put your Lego creations to good use by making them into bookends. Check out these Lego bookends by Deborah Higdon. The theme is “learning,” which is very appropriate. Each side features a vignette of learning. The left bookend is an old time schoolroom, complete with wood burning oven. The map hanging over the desks uses some rubber bands to help give a more realistic appearance, mimicking the coast lines. There is also a brick built mosaic of a mountains landscape, and the desks even recreate that old iron detailing. On the other side of the books, is the right bookend. This scene is of a dorm room. A completely different habitat compared to the schoolroom. Here many life lessons can be learned. The room features an unmade messy bed, a dead desk plant, a laptop, and many many expensive textbooks.

A Beautiful And Massive Lego Disney Cinderella Castle

LegoCastle's Lego Disney Cinderella Castle

The Disney Cinderella Castle is one of the most famous castles in popular culture, but for some reason there are not that many Lego MOCs based on it. Maybe that is because the castle itself is really hard to pin down (see here). It is also a massive building, so anyone attempting to replicate it in Lego has to have access to a lot of pieces. Unless you try a microscope version. There is now a definitive version of the Disney Cinderella Castle in Lego. Created by Reddit user LegoCastle. It contains well over 50,000 pieces, and hundreds of hours went into the construction. Interestingly, the project cost around $4,500 to finish. It is not everyday that the cost of a project like this is revealed. Lego is expensive.

The clean design, attention to detail, and scale have all attributed to its massive appeal. This is one beautiful Lego Castle. Make sure to check out all the details, such as the stained glass windows, the use of technic pins for detailing, and the clock above the main gate. Every time you look at something like this a new detail stand out.

Oh Joy! — It’s A Lego Joy from Inside Out

Miro Dudas Lego Inside Out Joy

Check out this Lego Joy from the Disney/Pixar film Inside Out. This Lego MOC is based on the official Joy Poster, and it is pretty accurate, maybe a little less sparkly then the movie version of Joy. The details that really stand out are the blue hair, and the shoulders. Plus there is a creative letter “O” there too. This Lego poster is created by Miro Dudas, who happened to be be inspired by the recent “Angry” Lego figure. Maybe, we will actually get all of the feelings represented in Lego soon. If you spot any more, let us know!

A Lego Anger From Pixar’s Inside Out

Angus MacLane's Lego Inside Out Anger

In the past few years Lego has been adding new pieces/molds to their collection that really help create more expressive and smooth builds. A good example is this Anger, from Disney/Pixar’s recent film Inside Out. You just wouldn’t be able to build this ten years ago. This Lego figure is spot on, and the creator Angus MacLane, has set a high bar for any more Inside Out Lego MOCs. The SNOT style building is faultless. Check out those awesome teeth, and spot on tie. It’s hard to be Angry around this guy.

“This model took me a while to get right, but it was a lot of fun to build. The arm angle and scale were particularly tricky.
The general reaction to this MOC has been, “Neat! Where are the other emotions?” I’m fairly positive that my green, light yellow, lavender, and medium blue collection is not sufficient to do so. So I’ll let that be a building challenge for the rest of you.”

New Lego Minecraft Summer 2015 Sets

New Lego Minecraft Sets 2015

There is going to be a new Lego Minecraft wave of sets released. The summer 2015 sets will arrive in August (although you will probably see them pop up a week or two early). It looks like there will be 2 smallish sets, and 2 large sets. It is interesting that there are no small impulse buy sets. The Lego Minecraft line is not the most affordable, and this release continues that trend. Two of these new sets will see the first Minifigures of Alex. The female counterpart to Steve. Maybe someday she will be able to sell a set all my herself. The new Snow Golem looks extremely goofy, and it’s good to see the famous Minecraft Wolf represented. The big mystery (at least for me) is the 154 graffitied all over the Nether set. If you know what it means, let me know in the comments.

The Dungeon (21119) is the smallest set and comes with Steve and 2 Zombies.

Lego Minecraft The Dungeon 21119

The Snow Hideout (21120) is a medium sized modular set with Steve, a Creeper and the all new Snow Golem.

Lego Minecraft The Snow Hideout 21120

The Desert Outpost (21121) is a large modular set, with Alex, Steve, a Wolf, and 2 Skeletons.

Finally, the big set this summer is The Nether Fortress. Featuring Alex, Steve, a Zombie Pigman, a Ghast, and Blaze.Lego Minecraft The Nether Fortress 21122

Lego Venice Architecture MOC, Santa Maria della Salute

Markus's Lego Architecture Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice

There is an almost endless list of historical important buildings that could go through the Lego Architecture system. A lot of people are inspired by these landmarks and the Architecture theme; then go and build their own. Markus created an awesome MOC based on the Santa Maria della Salute in Venice Italy. A baroque style Roman Catholic church with an iconic dome. Considering its scale, this Lego Santa Maria della Salute is about as accurate as you can get to the real thing. Markus even won a nomination from the recent Brickworld 2015 for Best Small Building.

The Cake Is A Lie. Lego Dimensions Portal E3 Trailer.

Lego Dimensions Portal Trailer E3

The Cake may be a lie, but this newest trailer is not. During E3, a new Lego Dimensions Portal trailer was released featuring a whole bunch of GLaDOS, Chell, and even a little bit of Wheatley. The gameplay is looking good. With a lot of Portal Gun mechanics being shown off. It looks like other Dimensions characters will be able to play in the Portal levels, including Batman, Homer Simpson, and Gandalf. It is not clear if you can take things like the Portal Gun into the other non-Portal levels. Which, if possible, opens up a whole lot of complicated stuff. Check out the full trailer below, it is pretty entertaining…
