Staying Dry With This Lego Elf Retreat

Lego Elf Retreat

This Lego Elf Retreat is the creation of Inthert. It was built as an entry into the MOC Wars 2020, in the Armless category. Which meant the scene had to feature weapons that were not being used as weapons. With that in mind you might notice that almost everything in this Elf Retreat is built out of weapons. Check out the guns used for the tree trunk, the axes and rifles used as lumber, and even the quiver full of arrows being used as a stair step. The most inventive use though is in that chair at the lookout spot. The crossbows used for chair legs is inspired. The end result is one of the best looking minifigure scale chairs around. Ultimately, there are seven different types of weapons hidden around. It’s hard to tell if all of these walkways are built to stay out of the purple water because it somehow looks relaxing and poisonous. The lego doors being used for these walkways is also a great detail. Giving a recycling vibe to these elves. It seems very fitting.

A Lego Bento Box Ready For Lunch

Lego Bento Box

A Japanese Bento Box is a great lunch. A bunch of small dishes offering up a variety of flavors. Kind of like the American TV Dinner, except fresh (not frozen) and delicious. This Lego Bento Box is the work of nobu_tary. The whole build is centered around the new Lego Dots theme. At first glance the box looks like any old to go container, but it is actually the carrying/organization case from Dots. You can even spot some of the new dots pieces used inside. Check out the bracelet band in the center. Everything here is an official Lego product. One of the best details is the brown rock pieces being used for the shrimp tempura. It all looks so delicious… maybe I’ll go get some lunch.

The Lego Household Arrival People Introducer Robot

The Lego Household Arrival People Introducer Robot - HAPI

Meet the Household Arrival People Introducer Robot, or HAPI for short. This little lego robot is the creation of Tom Gerardin. It features one of the new Lego Dots, which is a new theme focused on emoji and smiley faces. Normally used for bracelets and accessories. Just goes to show that you can borrow from any Lego theme to make your creations. Standing about as tall as two minifigures with a lot of personality squeezed into its frame. Check out the robot pauldron used for the head, and the minifigure laser guns for the jets on the back. It looks like HAPI might hang out with the Mixels in its spare time.

Chapter 3: The Sin, A Lego Mandalorian MOC

Chapter 3: The Sin, A Lego Mandalorian MOC

“Chapter 3: The Sin” is the latest creation by @ctr_bricks, and is another entry in their series of Lego Mandalorian MOCs. A recent Star Wars theme that has been exploding with creations. The Sin is a highly detailed city scene filled with aliens, bounty hunters, and smugglers. A very bustling street. Here the Mandalorian is on a mission to rescue Baby Yoda. The planet Nevarro has a lava setting, some of which can be seen peaking out between the stones. Check out some of the little details: the lego dice being used for an electronic box, the various space junk littering the scene, and the interesting curtain/doorway design.

The Table Scraps, A Lego Robot Family

The Table Scrap Lego Robot Family

The Table Scrap Robot Family is the creation of Milan Sekiz. Who challenged themselves to created something with a bunch of never-before-used parts. A lot of which ended up being Minifigure accessories. This Lego Robot Family is all decked out in steampunk colors. The brown, gold, and silver work together well and help make these Table Scraps feel like a family. Some of the details of note are the gold rings used for joints, samurai swords for feet, the ray guns for shoulders, and even Batman batarangs for decorative head gear. It almost looks like they put themselves together. I like to imagine this little Lego Robot Family wandering the earth gathering new parts as they are thrown out…

The Lego K-9 Multi-Purpose Support Unit

The Lego K-9 Multi-Purpose Support Unit, Dog

This is the Lego K-9 Multi-Purpose Support Unit, built by Red. This cyber-dog is part of bigger team, and looks ready to go on a mission. The various robot looking augmentations, face shield and antennae, are all sleek modifications to the dog body. This build is super smooth. With great curves, which are very hard to achieve with lego. Check out the hind legs, and the front chest area. The end result is is a doberman robotic dog that looks like it leapt right out science fiction (or, maybe cyberpunk?) In fact, his brother might just be “Rex,” from Fallout New Vegas.

Trying To Find WiFi – A Parasite Lego Vignette

Trying To Find WiFi - A Parasite Lego Vignette

Trying to find a free Wifi signal can take you to some weird places. Even willingly sitting for hours in a small bathroom. This little Lego MOC is based on the recent film titled Parasite, and is the creation of dewback1. The weird split-level tiled bathroom is one of the films memorable locations. The lego 1×1 flat plates are perfectly misaligned. It is quickly recognizable as a basement. Thanks to the small narrow window, and the spider infestation. One of the best details though, is the sock on the ground. A great use of a Harry Potter piece!

A Very Charming Medieval Cottage – Lego MOC

A Very Charming Medieval Cottage - Lego MOC Front

A charming cottage can be warm and inviting, or it can be creepy and haunted. You never know until you knock on that door. This Medieval Cottage Lego MOC is the creation of Paul Robinson. It features a stone foundation and a simple first floor with reinforced door. Above that is a very steep and overwhelming roof with who knows how many floors inside. It is part of the mystery. A precarious chimney, and whether vane finish off the details. The green shingle roof is amazing. Great use of texture and color. One odd detail in the scene is the amount of animals around: two dogs, a cat, and even a hidden baby dragon. Now you just need to decide if you will will knock on the door…

Brave The Forgotten Kingdom With Lego Hollow Knight

Lego Hollow Knight Video Game

Hollow Knight is one of the best Metroidvania sytle video games out there. It is a mysterious story about a Knight, a little bug, exploring the ancient City of Tears. Along the way odd allies are met while deadly enemies try to stop all. So why not take a brake from all that and join the The Grimm Troupe. A circus that just happens to be town right as everything is going wrong. This is the Lego Hollow Knight which is created by Red. A great MOC that is instantly recognizable. Check out the plates used for the armor, the horns/mandibles, and the fully posable body. Then there is the Nail (the traditional weapon in Hallownest), a super simple build that is perfect. This little bug looks like they are ready to take on the world.

Did you miss me? The Mask Lego

Did you miss me? The Mask Lego

The Mask is one of Jim Carrey’s most iconic films. The blend of live action and old style cartoon works. The extremely animated face of the main star is up to the challenge (with a little bit of help from special effects). This Lego MOC based on The Mask, is the creation of Pistash. It is an entry into the MOC Wars 2020. Specifically the “Not The Bees!” category. The build is instantly recognizable, and just like the source, full of bright colors.
