Harold’s Hazardous Hermitage – Lego MOC

Harold’s Hazardous Hermitage - Lego MOC

Go find the furthest place from civilization and you will probably find a hermit living there in peace. This Lego MOC, called Harold’s Hazardous Hermitage, is created by valerius_maximus. Built as part of the “Style It Up” challenge for the InnovaLUG contest. The goal is to build something that is only supported by four studs. Which is the exact amount of studs that precariously hold this island up. The most difficult part of this creation was achieving the proper balance, so Harold would not tip over when left alone. Harold’s little Lego cottage is wonderfully run down. The uneven design of the stone work, and the brick built door work great. A great detail here is that a food source has been thought about, Harold fishes and grows a few carrots.

Upgrade Your Animal Crossing Lego House

Upgrade Your Animal Crossing Lego House - レゴ どうぶつの森

Animal Crossing and Lego seem to go together really well. Lego even had an old theme called Fabuland that shares a lot of ideas. The video game has been inspiring some recent Lego MOCs and the newest one is this villager house (レゴ どうぶつの森) built by nobu_tary. This little building represents the basic house you get after your tent, but before any upgrades. The clean style from the game fits in well with SNOT building techniques. Some of the nice details include the red roof, the little black chimney, the little mail box (with mail!) and the pattern of the grass. This little set looks like it could be expanded with other houses and buildings, recreating the island 16×16 studs at a time. Believe it or not, this basic 1 bedroom house goes for 98,000 bells!

A Very Charming Medieval Cottage – Lego MOC

A Very Charming Medieval Cottage - Lego MOC Front

A charming cottage can be warm and inviting, or it can be creepy and haunted. You never know until you knock on that door. This Medieval Cottage Lego MOC is the creation of Paul Robinson. It features a stone foundation and a simple first floor with reinforced door. Above that is a very steep and overwhelming roof with who knows how many floors inside. It is part of the mystery. A precarious chimney, and whether vane finish off the details. The green shingle roof is amazing. Great use of texture and color. One odd detail in the scene is the amount of animals around: two dogs, a cat, and even a hidden baby dragon. Now you just need to decide if you will will knock on the door…
