Build Your Own Nano AT-ST With Instructions

This nano scale Lego AT-ST is created by NS Brick Designs. A neat thing about this little mech is that it is made out of very common parts, usually the kind you get two or three extras of in a set. You can find lightsaber hilts, the small Lego guns, and even a Minifigures hand in this build. The chicken walker style design of the AT-ST is surprisingly sturdy at this scale, and is not as fragile as it looks. The scene is finished off with a SNOT style rock base, and a little Lego antenna (which represents a Stormtrooper).

NS Brick Designs made a quick set of instructions to show how to build your own nano AT-ST. The whole thing uses just 18 common Lego pieces. The most confusing part is in step two. There are three 1×1 clips and a 1×1 brick. The two on the bottom are facing away from each other and connected by the clip on the top. This is a fun little build

The Mandalorian Lego Figure

Lego has a popular line of Star Wars figures, built using figure parts, Bionicle parts, and Technic parts. But, it seems that none of the characters from The Mandalorian have been released. Lucasfilm, Disney, and hundreds of manufacturers have underestimated just how popular the show would become. Lego only has a few sets released in the Lego Star Wars theme, and none of them seem to be accurate or what people want most. Accurate Mandalorian Minifigures and figures, and Baby Yoda are specifically what fans want. The good news is that they will eventually be made, but in the mean time fans have been creating their own. This Lego figure of Din Djarin is created by Wesley. A lot of work has been put into making it as accurate as possible. Even a custom head piece has been made that involves modeling new details and custom paint. The end result looks great, especially in photos. This Mandalorian Lego figure also features some standard Lego pieces, you can find Nexo Knight shields in the armor, some 1×1 grey clips, a brick built belt, and brick built guns.

A Wild Lego Detective Pikachu Has Appeared

The recent Pokémon film Detective Pikachu was way better than it should have been. A happy surprise, which seems to have started a whole new trend in video game movies. This life-sized Lego MOC of Detective Pikachu is created by alanboar. The build is actually an update to their previous Lego Pikachu. It has been modified by adding a tan detectives hat, and a magnifying glass. This build uses more than 3,000 Lego pieces, and is not completely solid. By making parts of it hollow it saves on the piece count. Having a hollow head might explain why he has amnesia. In the end, can Pikachu find his missing partner?

Meep Meep! It’s Beaker From The Muppets!

Beaker from the Muppets might just be one of the greatest lab assistants in the world. He is often working with the famous Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. These two always seem to have their science experiments go comically wrong, usually involving something catching fire. This Lego bust of Beaker is created by j-p-30. Everything (except the pupils on the eyes) is made out of official Lego pieces. Recreating wispy hair with solid Lego pieces is a challenge. Here the hair is a collection of red snakes, knives, sausages, horns, and even crowbars. It works well. Another interesting detail is the way the lab coat collar has been created. It uses grey Lego flexible tubing which gives an impression of a collar without actually having one. In most cases a good Lego build is never finished and that is the case here. Beaker’s nose was originally an orange carrot shape, and the newest version it is a yellow cone shape. The cone is closer to the actual muppet, but is not orange. Which version is better sounds like a great excuse for a science experiment.

A Lego Caffeine Science Lesson

This is the skeletal formula for caffeine, completely made out of Lego. “Caffeine” is created by Miro Dudas as an entry into the 2nd round of Iron Builders. The challenge this time is to use the wrench and hammer pieces in unique ways. The skeletal formula is where you will find all these pieces, specifically in the covalent bonds. A bunch of blue spaceman Minifigure helmets, and round Lego balls make up the individual molecules (correct me if I am wrong). It would tough to get all of these elements in the correct places, and here it has been achieved well. This Lego MOC also features a cup of coffee (humanities preferred source of the drug), which is probably the inspiration of this build.

The Octan Office, An Alternate Corner Garage

The Octan Office is a Lego MOC created by Łukasz Libuszewski. This Modular style building uses 2,542 pieces. The office is actually an alternate build of the Corner Garage (10264) Modular Building. It uses about 90% of the pieces from the original, and 240 or so pieces have been added. The ground floor features the Octan office and an automotive parts store. A small pet clinic takes up the second floor, and a small apartment gets the third floor all to itself. This Lego build features a lovely roof line, with some very steep slopes and sweeping curves. Besides the three modular floors, the back features two huge window sections that can be removed for easier access. If you find your Modular City has too many corner buildings, it may be time to try an alternate Corner Garage.

A Lego City Tensegrity Sculpture

Lego Tensegrity builds have broken out of the basic shape and have been exploring just what is possible with the physics. The gravity defying trick is being refined at a fast pace. This Lego City Tensegrity Sculpture is created by Ken MA, who has been inspired by the film “Inception.” Here the city is both above and below. An interesting feature about this Lego MOC in particular is that of the three chains/supports, the center one is trying to disappear as much as possible. A few transparent bricks helps this effect. These are great Lego skyscrapers, and would fit right in with the official architecture theme. Except half of them are upside down.

Flying Through The Sky With Two Lego Birds

These two Lego birds are flying through the sky so fancy-free. This Lego MOC is the creation of Azurekingfisher. The blue and orange colors are very striking. For this build the birds and wreath use a whole lot of the Lego leaves. While the green ones are common, the blue and orange ones are hard to find. The orange leaves are most commonly found in Disney Frozen themed sets and the recent Lego Ideas Treehouse (21318) set. The blue leaves are even more rare, only found in two sets, both of which are in the recent Hidden Side theme. The birds are held up kind of like a mobile. The supports are made up of Lego pieces, with Lego whips doing most of the work.

Wicket The Ewok Just Wants A Hug

This is Wicket the Ewok as created by Bruce Lowell. A cute little teddy bear alien from Endor. He stars in such Star Wars movies as Return of the Jedi, the Rise of Skywalker, the Ewok Adventure, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, and in Ewoks the animated show. Even though they helped destroy the Death Star with spears and traps, they are not very popular in certain crowds. But this Lego MOC will convince you that Wicket just wants a hug. This brick built Ewok is built using SNOT techniques in a very cartoon style. He features a spear, and his red poncho. He looks ready for a giant Ewok Celebration with their new golden god: C3PO.

An Epic Imperial Outpost On Endor — Lego Star Wars

In Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, the Imperial Outpost on Endor is the location of the shield generator protecting the new Death Star. On the ground the Ewoks and Rebels fight to shut down the outpost, while the Imperials try to defend. This location has been recreated in Lego in Minifigure scale. The Lego Imperial Outpost is created by Maciej Szymański. The finished build features thousands and thousands of bricks. There are multiple giant trees, the landing pad, an Imperial Shuttle (Lambda-class T4a), an AT-AT Walker, two AT-ST Walkers, multiple speeder bikes, and a whole lot of Stormtroopers.

The Imperial Outpost is completely wired with multiple electric and mechanical features. The whole base is lit up at night with LEDs, which are all hidden away. No cords in sight on Endor. The Imperial Shuttle features raising wings, working landing gear, an opening ramp, and the shuttle can take off and land on the platform. The mechanical stuff is all achieved with well hidden Lego Power Functions motors. Check out the video below to see it all in action.

The scale of this build is massive. The end model is over four feet tall. Beginning with the first plan the construction of this Lego build took around 13 years. This epic outpost is a finished build, there are no plans to recreate the bunkers, generators, or massive radar dish. It would triple the size, and become too unwieldy for a single person. Let alone the cost…
