Punk’s Not Dead… It’s Just Retired

JuliusVonBrunk Lego Punk's Not Dead

Punk’s Not Dead… It’s Just Retired is a wicked cool Lego creation featuring an aging Lego Minifigure. This dude just wants to keep on rocking. The wheelchair is well made, and looks simple enough to replicate for your own displays.

A Posable 6x Scale Classic Lego Spaceman Blue

crayonbricks's Lego Classic Spaceman Blue 6x Big

Have you ever thought that the Lego Minifigures are too small? Maybe they could be improved by making them 6 times larger? Well that is exactly what CrayonBricks did with their Classic Spaceman Blue build. This guy could easily be Benny’s big brother. The 6x scale Lego Man (can’t really call it a Minifigure) is fully posable, featuring all the movable joints as the smaller Minifig. This big guy even has the jetpack/air tanks on the back. What exactly are those intended to be anyway? I say jetpack. The only thing missing here is a broken helmet chin strap.

Paradise Lost in this Lego Wonder Woman vs. Ares Vignette

Tim Lydy's Lego Wonder Woman vs Ares

A lot of the DC Comics superheroes have had a lot of attention lately. Especially Batman and Superman. But there are many more that seem not make the jump from comic book to film. Wonder Woman is one of those superheroes. She will finally get her own film in a few years, but until then fans will have to create their own stories. This Lego Wonder Woman vs. Ares vignette is the creation of Tim Lydy. This MOC started out as an adaption of an episode of Justice League titled “Paradise Lost.” Which lead the builder to replace Hades, with Ares (a more famous Wonder Woman villain). Ares is sporting the new helmet from the Hobbit theme.

“The god of war, Ares, has kidnapped the Amazonian Queen Hippolyta—and it’s up to the queen’s own daughter Diana; otherwise known as Wonder Woman; to save her and all of Themyscira from the mighty god’s wrath!”

An Awesome Lego Gaming Room

Alex Nidhogg's Awesome Lego Gaming Room

Check out this awesome Lego gaming room, created by Alex Nídhögg. This gaming room features everything you need. Pizza, Pepsi, surround sound, a flat screen TV, a life size Stormtrooper, a Gameboy, a Squishee, and even the most important item: a credit card. This Lego Minifigure is ready to spend days here. There are so many new video games to play. Call of Duty, Dragon Age Inquisition, Assassin’s Creed, Grand Theft Auto V, Farcry 4, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, etc. Too bad there is just not enough time to play them all.

Lego Assassin’s Creed Rouge: Shay Patrick Cormack Minifigure

Logan Fulford's Lego Assassin's Creed Rouge

Assassin’s Creed is out with a new video game. Titled Assassin’s Creed Rouge, it is a duel release with Assassin’s Creed Unity. This has to be one of the most confusing video game release schedules of all time. Although Unity is getting more press, it seems the smaller title Rouge is getting better a fan reception. Logan Fulford has created an extremely detailed custom Minifigure based on the games protagonist, Shay Patrick Cormack. This little Lego guy features custom sculpting and custom painting to achieve its look. The paint work is well done, especially when you consider the fact that this is only 4cm tall. Hopefully we will see more Lego Assassin’s Creed stuff in the future, it seems like a theme that has a lot of overlap with Lego fans.

The International Hotel, A Cool Lego Modular Building

lgorlando's Lego International Hotel 01

It seems like every major city has an International Hotel. And, it is about time your Lego city got one too. An International Hotel would fit perfectly in the Lego Modular Building theme. The stark white trim, gold accents, and light blue color of this hotel gives this hotel a very regal look. This is the place all the rich Lego Minifigures would stay. There is a lot going on with the facade here. In a lot of ways this Lego International Hotel feels like an official Lego set. The little details, like the white round piece in the windows, the clock, and the grey statues all feel like something Lego would do. Which is a compliment. This is a really cool modular style building.

Lego Scooby Dooby Doo, Where Are You?

Lego Scooby Doo Rumors

If there was one theme I was not expecting to hear rumors that Lego would produce, its Scooby Doo. It seems that Lego has been working on a spooky theme, and now its seems an official Lego Scooby Doo theme is the top contender for this release. This new theme would be hitting shelves around May or June of 2015, and will consist of 4 sets. It seems that the iconic Mystery Van, a Haunted House, and two unknown sets are in the works. With the whole gang represented in Minifigure form. Fred, Shaggy, Scooby-Doo, Daphne, and Velma. Also expect to see a few of the monsters represented. I wonder if they will be regular Minifigures wearing costumes? Because that would be fun.

Hothbricks reported on a Lego Scooby Doo theme first. Their user Miniworld seems to be confirming rumors too: http://www.hothbricks.com/2014/11/rumeurs-2015-grande-roue-nouveau-theme/#comments

New Details. The Detective’s Office, a Lego Creator Modular Building (10246)

Lego Creator Detective's Office 10246 Modular Building

The new Detective’s Office Modular Building (10246) is getting ready for release, and the back of the box has been leaked. The front of the box and the first details were leaked just a few days ago. This Modular is looking good. The Detective’s Office will be two-stories, and the Barber Shop will be three-stories. The little details look great, there is an emergency escape from the Office, some wanted posters, a safe full of money, mirrors in the Barber Shop, a pool room, an old style toilet, and a full apartment above the shop. It looks like your Minifigures can get into a lot of adventures here.

The Lego Creator Detective’s Office (10246) will contain 2,262 pieces and be available around January of 2015. Some more information is here: http://everydaybricks.com/detectives-office-new-lego-modular-building-10246-revealed/
