A Super Cute Baby Yoda Made Of Lego

A Super Cute Baby Yoda Made Of Lego

There are a bunch of ways to make a Baby Yoda out of Lego. This cute Baby Yoda is built by Hamid and based on the design by legotruman. This version is based on the Brickheadz style. This one is a little bit bigger than the official scale. A sort of deluxe Brickheadz. The extra width gives more space to pack in as much cuteness as possible. The overall shape has a good flow, with an excellent use of SNOT design techniques. Some of the nice details include the green overhanging pieces on the ears, the tiny amount of green showing on the arms, and the super smooth collar design. The eyes give the Lego figure a lot of personality. In the end, you just want to boop Baby Yoda on the nose.

In A Tiny Galaxy Far, Far Away – Microscale Lego Star Wars

In A Tiny Galaxy Far, Far Away - Microscale Lego Star Wars, Episode IV - A New Hope

These microscale Lego Star Wars models are the work of Rod Gillies. You cannot get much smaller than this. Each tiny model features a vehicle or two in its iconic setting. Most of these vignettes have been built off of a 4×6 grid, with a few exceptions going up to 6×6 studs. Microscale is an interesting challenge, you need to include just enough detail to get an impression while building as small as possible. These three sets are each based off of the original trilogy. The sets from A New Hope feature the Sandcrawler, Millennium Falcon, and a X-Wing and Tie Fighter. The little radar dish on the Falcon and the tiny s-foils on the X-Wing are especially well done. The sets from The Empire Strikes Back feature an AT-AT Walker, Luke’s X-Wing and Yoda’s Hut, and the Cloud City of Bespin. The X-Wing being sunken into the swamp is a great effect, as are the sunset stained clouds on Bespin. Finally, the three sets from Return of the Jedi feature Jabba’s Sail Barge, the Imperial Shuttle, and another Millennium Falcon. The tiny Sarlacc pit, and the pipes from the Death Star are a couple of the stand out details.

Christophsis, A Planet From Star Wars The Clone Wars

Lego Christophsis, A Planet From Star Wars The Clone Wars

Star Wars and its universe encompass many many planets. Hundreds of them, and if you count the non-canon “Expanded Universe” it might even be thousands. This Lego MOC titled “Christophsis” is the creation of Elven Ranger. It features a Lego version of one of those Star Wars planets. Christophsis was first depicted in The Clone Wars, around 2008. It is located along the Outer Rim and is a planet known or its huge crystalline forests. This little out of the way location ended up being of huge importance, being the site of many battles. The Lego version is a great 16×16 stud scene. The build feature a great hexagonal floor pattern with bricks laid out on their side. The whole scene also contain blue and green crystals which create a very alien looking Lego MOC.

The Force is Strong with these Lego Star Wars Posters

For the 2015 Star Wars Celebration, held in Anaheim California, Lego created a whole series of Lego Star Wars posters. The posters are all recreations of famous Star Wars posters, except in Lego. The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith are based on the theatrical release posters, while A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi are based on the Special Edition release. This collection makes for a great series by avoiding the teaser posters, and the original trilogy theatrical posters. A continuity is presented that just looks awesome. Maybe in the future Lego will revisit this idea and release more Lego Star Wars posters (the original Star Wars poster sure would be appreciated).

These Lego Star Wars posters were given out at the Star Wars Celebration, if you didn’t attend, there are many of these available online at various auction websites (eBay!).

R2-D2 + Black + Gold = R2-Pi

Monsterbrick’s R2-Pi

R2-Pi is an awesome MOC based on the popular Lego Star Wars R2-D2 (10225). It really shows what you can do by color swapping and making slight modifications to an official Lego set. The end result is almost steampunk. If I flew an X-Wing , R2-Pi would be by co-pilot.

Star Wars – Tour De Force

Oky’s Star Wars Tour De Force

R2D2’s secret passion is to ride in the Tour De Force. Where once a year the universes most elite bicyclists compete in a 23 day tour of Endor. Watch out R2D2, I hear that Anakin doesn’t play fair.

Oky from Flickr and Eurobricks created this awesome Star Wars Tour De Force concept.
