Donald And Daisy Duck Lego Figures

Donald Duck Lego Figures

These Lego Figures of Donald Duck and Daisy Duck (唐老鴨與黛西) are created by Lee Nuo. These brick built figures are very close to Brickheadz in scale, the heads are smaller but the bodies are a bit taller. They also feature super short arms, and longer legs. The limited amount of bricks forces you to get creative with what you have. The 1×1 white clips/connectors being used for arms works surprisingly well. A couple of other fun details include the 1×1 red clip representing a bow tie, and the 1×1 white clip/connector on Donald Duck looks like hair. Those clips certainly get a lot of use here. The hats are also great mini builds, and are instantly recognizable on their characters. A great achievement for only 5-10 Lego bricks each.

The Knucker And The Pie — Lego Folklore

The Knucker And The Pie — Lego Folklore

This Lego MOC called “The Knucker And The Pie” is created by Kingmarshy. Built as an entry into Bio-Cup 2020 in the Folklore and Mythology theme. In this case this brick built dragon is based on the tale of The Knucker. An old legend based in the village of Lyminster in Sussex. The village had a dragon problem and a local resident came up with a plan involving a poisoned pie. This Lego build has recreated the mythical dragon. A red and gold beast built using a lot of Bionicle parts. When looking at the detail in the legs you might find Bionicle masks, hands, and armor plating. The rib cage and the tiny wings are great details that lend personality to the Knucker. The dragon is made up of a lot of flexible joints and points. Meaning that it can take up a lot of different poses. The Kuncker comes with two accessories, Jim Puttock as a Lego Minifigure and his delicious poisoned pie.

An Alien Invasion At The Capital

An Alien Invasion At The Capital

Aliens always seem to want to meet the leader. What happens when they do? In countless movies/films it means doom. This Lego MOC of a United States Capital Building Alien Invasion is created by Lame Boy. It is a great example of taking an existing Lego set (in this case the United States Capitol Building 21030) and upgrading it into something that is your own. A few well placed giant Lego flames create the expected destruction. And, the invading alien ships are the retro saucer kind. Held up with some flexible tubing. A couple smoke clouds finish the mod, and a bit of image editing skills help to hide their supports. The end result would fit right in with any B movie special effects production.

This Lego Deer Is The Light Of The Forest

This Lego Deer Is The Light Of The Forest

“Dreri, Light of the Forest” is a Lego MOC created by Cody Avery. Originally built for the Bio-Cup 2020, which the theme was Eastern Europe. The word Dreri means Deer in Albanian. Based on folklore where the cult of the sun is connected with deer, which is one of the sacred animals. This brick built animal is made up of a combination of Bionicle and Lego System parts. The deer has a lot of interesting things going on with it. The hooves are created with two claws which have been angled toward each other to get the final shape. You can also find a pair of wings being used as butt cheeks. And, the massive antlers use a bunch of white bananas and hot air balloon pieces. A hidden support structure is used to balance the figure, which allows more delicate building techniques in the feet and legs. In the background, a old knobby tree is holding on to life. Built with a bunch of Chewbacca figure parts. Cody Avery assures us that no Wookiees were hurt in the process.

Benny’s Quarantine — Lego MOC

Benny's Quarantine — Lego MOC

It looks like Benny has been self-quarantining up in space. He brought all the stuff needed for a long stay: soda, t-bone steaks, Lego sets, and toilet paper. This Lego MOC called “Benny’s Quarantine” is created by EMazingbrix. Built for the recent Brickzlab Challenge, where the goal was to create a self-isolation scene with at least two walls. The final vignette has one giant wall on a diagonal, featuring a giant window with a brick built space scene. Off to the side is a tiny wall that connects at an angle. A lot of work went into getting the two to connect as tightly as possible. The base features multiple SNOT techniques to get everything flat. Benny looks like he appreciates it, any sharp corners or studs could mean doom in his space suit. Although I am not so sure what he is going to use a crate of TNT for…

A Lego Rocinante From The Expanse

A Rocinante Lego Build From The Expanse

In the science fiction series The Expanse, a group of main characters find themselves in possession of the Rocinante. Previously known as the Donnager, a small warship built by the Martian Congressional Republic Navy (MCRN). The Expanse has a bunch of unique spaceship designs, almost all of which are clunky purpose built machines. This Lego version of the Rocinante is created by Kevin J. Walter. It features the grey color scheme used to hide the ships origins. A lot of the little details have been preserved converting it down to this small scale. Including communications gear (Lego walkie-talkies), the various cannons and PDCs (the little Minifigure roller skates add a lot of detail), and the giant engine (the Minifigure hands are a great detail). This Lego build has a lot of creative part use, check out some of those complicated shapes in the hull. A little hard to see as the flat grey appearance hides a lot of the details, as intended.

These Wizards By The Coast Are On Holiday – Lego MOC

Wizards By The Coast - Lego MOC

The Wizards by the Coast is a Lego MOC built by Josh. A few wizards are enjoying their time off from saving/destroying the world. The build has a bunch of interesting and odd details. The first is the giant terraced garden with water magically flowing down each level until it meets up with the sea. A fun part of the scene is how the water changes from transparent clear, to transparent blue when it hits the ground. There is a giant butterfly feeding on some flowers atop a spiraling spire. And a very tiny Wizards tower is topped by a glowing crystal. A magical spell must fit a glorious interior inside the small tower. A few details that are neat include the Lego Minifigure ice cream being used for waves, the bee hive above the rocky cliff, and the Wizard using magic to grill up some fresh fish.

A Day In The Garden With Noctura

A Day In The Garden With Noctura, Lego Elves MOC

After being banished to the Shadow World by the Elves, Noctura spends her days off in her hidden garden. Even villains need some peace and quiet. This Lego Elves themed MOC is called “Noctura’s Garden” and is built by Kristel. The vignette has been created for the Eurobricks Flower Show. The build comes with a simple base which is a great way to make your Lego MOC displays stand out. The scene features a lovely but dangerous looking forest. Complete with a charming stone pathway. The forest is built out of a lot of black tentacle pieces, and various black flora. There are pink and dark blue leaves, mixed with teeth/thorns. A few glowing gems complete the look. The end result is a perfect fantasy forest. There is no better place to plan revenge than Noctura’s Garden.

Have Some Soup With Lego Baby Yoda

Have Some Soup With Lego Baby Yoda

Babu Yoda is the biggest (hah!) thing to come out of Star Wars in the last few years. There are so many ways to build a Lego figure of this adorable alien. This Baby Yoda is a Lego MOC created by car_mp. This brick built figure has a few options for display. The ears, mouth, fingers, and arms can be moved. This means you can pose him however you want. Baby Yoda can even hold some delicious soup. This version has a rounder face than some other creations. It makes him look a bit more cartoonish, and a bit more cute. The child also comes with a nice tan robe. The lighter tan Lego pieces give the clothes some welcome detail, especially in the collar.

Go For It, Connect Four!

Go For It, Connect Four! - Lego Boardgame MOC

Connect Four is one of those games that seemingly everyone has played. Plus it has one of the most memorable theme songs / jingles. It is remixed vertical version of tic-tac-toe. Tiago Catarino has created a Lego version of Connect Four, and best of all has uploaded video instructions so you can make it at home. The build itself is relatively simple but surprisingly complex too. The most difficult thing is getting the bottom tray just right. It is a horizontal build that has the vertical board held on with two technic pins, and a some exposed studs. The vertical part of the game is actually a bit more labor intensive than at first sight. Each lane has been designed so that the game pieces stay in their lane. Make sure to check out the video below to see how it all works!
