Eat Some Cake With Lego Smurfs

Eat Some Cake With Lego Smurfs

The Smurfs are those tiny people who live in the forest, inside mushroom houses. These Lego Smurfs figures are created by Johan Hendrix. Specifically, Papa Smurf and Baker Smurf. This duo were created for Polybag Competition hosted by Brickset. The idea is to create a theme that would, and could be sold in those little Lego Polybag sets. These two are built with just 67 pieces, and relatively easy ones to find too. Here the idea would be to create a theme where you can collect all the Smurfs.

A Lego Totoro And Catbus!

A Lego Totoro And Catbus!

Totoro waiting for Catbus in the rain is an iconic scene from the film My Neighbor Totoro. Totoro is a nature spirit, but Catbus is something else. Some sort of weird yet charming public transport vehicle/animal. With headlight eyes, and interior seating. MadLEGOman has created these two characters in Lego. They were built as part of an Iron Builders challenge, the goal of which is to build using Minifigure Legs / Pants in unexpected ways. You can find some of them here on the backside of Totoro’s head, and as part of Catbus’s Legs. There is some very clever building here, such as the bus using bucket handles for windows, and lever bases for eyes. This is one of the best Minifigure scale Lego Totoros around.

Lego Moe’s Tavern, Where The Elite Meet To Drink

Lego Moe’s Tavern, Where The Elite Meet To Drink - The Simpsons

For a little while Lego made a couple of sets and Minifigures based on The Simpsons. There has been the Simpsons House, and the Kwik-E-Mart. These two sets are great, and showcase just how well the Simpsons can fit into the Lego world. But, since then there hasn’t been much. Just a Brickheadz release. One location that would be perfect as a set would be Moe’s Tavern.

As this famous Tavern serves a variety of alcoholic drinks, many people think that excludes it from being an official set. Which means fans need to build their own. Which is exactly what Dylan Lane has done with his Lego Moe’s Tavern. This build matches the classic brown and purple color scheme, and even features brick built stained glass windows. The sign is an excellent build and uses a lot of the techniques found in the official modular sets. You can find that Homer just can’t wait to get inside, and have Duff Beer.

Triple Your Productivity With Homer Simpsons Home Office Assistant

Triple Your Productivity With Homer Simpsons Office Assistant - Lego MOC

Built by grubaluk, this Lego MOC is called “Homer’s Home Office Assistant.” It is a reference to the classic episode from The Simpsons titled King Size Homer. Season 7 Episode 7. There is the Drinking Bird, which Homer uses to automate his job. By bouncing up and down the Bird keeps pressing the keyboard, which ends up tripling his productivity. The other office assistant is Snowball II. The cat that seems to be always hanging around. This Lego Snowball II is an extremely accurate build compared to the cartoon. The bright colors, and smooth (SNOT) techniques are all excellently done. As the safety inspector, can Homer Simpson keep the Nuclear Power Plant operating?

Did you miss me? The Mask Lego

Did you miss me? The Mask Lego

The Mask is one of Jim Carrey’s most iconic films. The blend of live action and old style cartoon works. The extremely animated face of the main star is up to the challenge (with a little bit of help from special effects). This Lego MOC based on The Mask, is the creation of Pistash. It is an entry into the MOC Wars 2020. Specifically the “Not The Bees!” category. The build is instantly recognizable, and just like the source, full of bright colors.

Getting Lost With Over The Garden Wall Lego

Over The Garden Wall Lego MOC

“Oh potatoes and molasses,
If you want some, oh just ask us…”

In 2014, the animated cartoon Over the Garden Wall was released right after Halloween. The show oozes with mystery and adventure, as Wirt and Greg are trying to find their way out of the woods. While they are lost they happen to find an extremely helpful bluebird named Beatrice. The whole show is animated in a 19th and early 20th century art style. It is a perfect Halloween/Thanksgiving story, and comes in at just about 2 hours. This Over the Garden Wall Lego MOC is the creation of Revan New. They used some clever vignetting and filters to simulate the look of the original show in their photos.

Some of the details present are great. Check out the teapot on Gregs head, and his side satchel. A great place to hide a Rock, some candy, and a certain Frog friend.

Wirt, the older brother is wearing his weird outfit. A large cloak and pointy hat. Then there is Beatrice. She sure wants to help the kids find Adelaide’s house. Hopefully they can find their way home…

Shannon Sproule Lego Simpsons Mr Burns & Bobo

Quick Get This Lego Life-sized Pikachu Some Ketchup

alanboar Lego Life-sized Pikachu

Here is a life-sized Pikachu (Based on the Pokemon video game) made out of Lego. Slightly sharper and less fluffy then a real one. That just means you need to hug it more. Alanboar created this Lego Pikachu out of 3,000 pieces. It could have been more pieces, but this MOC is hollow inside. There are only five colors used; yellow, brown, black, red, and white. This limited palette keeps the cartoon quality that has made Pikachu so famous. In order to get the proportions and design correct this Lego Pikachu was first sketched out on paper. While it is holding a Pokeball; Ketchup may be a more fitting prop.

Not everyone has 3,000 or so yellow Lego bricks. In that case there is a mini version of Pikachu that used a fraction of the life-sized model. The mouth and nose area is simple, and a perfect detail.

Iain Heath Lego Catbug

In celebration of the season 3 premiere of Bravest Warriors Ian Heath has created a Lego Catbug. Even better then that, he posted some easy to follow instructions to build your own. If you don’t have all the correct colors (purple) you can just swap for another. Now we just need a Lego Invisible Hideout.
