For being about 100 years old and made up of Lego, Geralt of Rivia has never looked so good. This Lego Witcher is built by Letranger Absurde. This SNOT style figure uses a lot of weird techniques to bring this video game character to life. Even some of the more obscure details are present, the necklace, sword hilts, and the various pouches. Once someone figures out how to get hairworks working in Lego, Geralt will look even better.

Angry Birds and Lego are teaming up in what might be the biggest surprise of the year. It is not very often that an announcement like this gets made. The first planned releases will hit shelves in Spring 2016, almost a year away. There are not even any specific details or photos yet. It seems like the Lego Angry Birds theme is about 2 years too late. But, with a feature film coming in 2016, a new wave of interest in these birds might be sparked. Check out the announcement below:
“LAS VEGAS, Nevada– 8th June 2015– Rovio, makers of Angry Birds, the most downloaded mobile game ever, today announced a partnership with The LEGO Group to develop a line of construction toys. LEGO® Angry Birds will be available in spring 2016 to coincide with the release of The Angry Birds Movie, a full-length feature film based on the popular gaming franchise.
“The LEGO brand has an unparalleled ability to connect with people through products that spark creativity and imagination. We’re really excited to build experiences together with this amazing best-in-class partner,” said Pekka Rantala, Chief Executive Officer of Rovio.
“We are excited to bring Angry Birds to life in LEGO form, given the popularity of the game and its characters with fans of all ages, which will only be amplified by the forthcoming film,” said Jill Wilfert, Vice President, licensing & entertainment at The LEGO Group. “We seek partnership with globally relevant properties that offer a unique and rewarding play experience to our fans, and our designers are having fun developing building sets that leverage the engaging play and deconstruction found in the Angry Birds game.”
Further details about the collection, available in spring of 2016, are not yet available.” — http://www.rovio.com/en/news/press-releases/670/lego®-angry-birds-will-take-flight
Flashback Friday: “Lego My Eggo!” — AuntiePesto

Now that the video game Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out, there is a huge demand for custom Lego creations. The Witcher universe is a tough and gritty place. With no clear good or bad resolutions. The protaganist is Geralt of Rivia. A Witcher, who spends his days hunting down monsters, and/or friends. This custom Lego Witcher Minifigure is the creation of Justin Stebbins. Who made a small swamp vignette for Geralt, including a (dead?) monster. Ready to be picked clean of any useful items.

The latest Lego Ideas Review (Third 2014, #013) has been officially revealed. The next Ideas set will be the Marble Maze. This set will feature a fully working marble labyrinth. The kind with two knobs, marbles, and pitfalls all wrapped up in a wooden box (in this case a Lego box). However the final model will be designed, it will be featuring a good amount of technic building, which Lego Ideas hasn’t used too much.
The other proposed sets that didn’t make the cut in this review included the Avengers Helicarrier, The Goonies Inferno Pirate Ship, The Natural History Museum, The Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith, Jurassic Park Gate, a Piano, and the Flying Dutchman. No reasons for the denial were given. Lego did leave us with a little surprise, saying that they were still considering the F7A Hornet from the video game Star Citizen. Check out the full video below.

With the recent releases in the Lego Marvel Superheroes theme, the official Lego X-Men Minifigures are slowly expanding. It seems to be an incredibly slow rate. The only reason we got the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver is because of their appearance in the Avengers. There are so many iconic mutants in the Marvel Universe that most of them will probably never see an official figure. That leaves a great opportunity for custom Minifigs to fill in the roster.
Check out these Uncanny X-Men Minifigures created by agoodfella minifigs. This is the 2nd version of this collection, with new characters, updated appearances, and custom creations adding to the lineup. These feature custom paint, chrome, and even unofficial Minifigs. It all combines to create a roster of X-Men that look amazing.
There are a lot of mutants here. See if you can find Psylocke, Phoenix, Angel, Dark Phoenix, Sunspot, Warpath, Cable, Havok, Sabretooth, Archangel, Gambit, Bishop, X-23, White Queen, Magneto, Juggernaut, Deadpool, Iceman, Beast, Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Colossus, Shadowcat, Rogue, Mystique, Cyclops, Professor X, and Storm.
