The big duel from The Last Jedi is when Luke and Kylo Ren face off on the salty planet of Crait. This Lego MOC called “Luke vs. Kylo Ren on Crait” is the work of BlueBrick. The scene features the striking white and red landscape of Crait. There are two main techniques used to make the scene instantly recognizable. The center is built with the bricks turned up on their sides. Allowing for smaller and more narrow details. This is then integrated and hidden by building a border around everything. These SNOT techniques make great display bases. Kylo is a kicking up the salt while Luke is much more calm. A great detail from the film.

“Chapter 4: Sanctuary” created by @ctr_bricks is the next chapter in their series of Star Wars Mandalorian MOCs. This scene represents a huge change compared to the past few builds. Instead of muted earth tones, we finally find ourselves in the lush green landscape of Sorgan. A wooden hut sits in the corner. Made from a variety of posts, plant tops, and brooms. But, the focus here is that Lego Omera is attempting to remove the Mandalorian’s helmet. A nearby pond is full of Blue Shrimp, which look like they might be delicious. These crustaceans are actually Minifigure hands. It looks like Baby Yoda is even hanging out… maybe he is hungry?
This is the Lego Cubo Scout Drone, created by Milan Sekiz. This cute little drone is based on the 1980’s Blacktron theme. The black, yellow, and red colors are very striking. You can tell because of all the black, that this drone is up to some bad stuff. The design of this spaceship when folded up is a cube. With one corner featuring an ominous red window. A Lego light brick is placed inside to achieve the red light effect. The scout can unfold itself and open into a more traditional spaceship design. With two wings and engines. The whole this even comes with a stand, that holds the ship on its corner. It all fits together well, emphasizing the geometric design.
There is something about a train that can capture the heart and imagination. Offering a scenic ride through mountains, forests, farms, and cities. Trains are often a more relaxing way to travel. Even commuter trains tend to put their riders to sleep with their rhythmic movement along the tracks. As a way to combat anxiety, Elemental_Lego built this Lego MOC, called “Train Ride.” An imagining of a steam train rolling through a forest in the midst of fall, crossing across a calm lake. This is an excellent Lego build. The microscale train ride uses some surprising Lego pieces. The most interesting is the Unikitty Lego scarf, repurposed as steam exhaust. Then there is the forest being a variety of hairbrushes, blades, unicorn horns, and other miscellaneous horns. The whole scene is tied together with a well built black base. Now where can a Minifigure or Microfigure buy a ticket?
Wilbur is ready to fly you to your new deserted island. Tom Nook has promised New Horizons are on their way. Dodo Airlines is a new island service in the popular Animal Crossing video game. This cozy airport is run by two dodo’s, Wilbur and Orville. The pair are ready to take you Harv’s island, your friends islands, and to a variety of uncharted islands. Basically there are a lot of islands. This Lego MOC is the creation of DanielBrickSon. The character is spot on. The rotund 3D bodies are hard to recreate in Lego, but this one has achieved it well. Check out the cool sunglasses, the headphones and mic, and the detailed bird feet. So pack a bag, Delta Oscar Delta Oscar is a go!
The Rufous-collared Sparrow is a little bird found from Mexico to Argentina, and everything in between. Also commonly known as a Chincol. The grey, brown, black and white colors are very charming, making this a very popular bird. This Lego Rufous-collared Sparrow is the creation of Luis Peña. Who found inspiration to build while being stuck inside all day. Listening to the birds sing. The Lego bird is very well made with a great build found for the little legs. The display stand is fitting and helps to showcase the sparrow.
Lego has surprised their Pirates fans by announcing a new set. The Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) is the newest Lego Ideas release. It looks like the famous Black Seas Barracuda has been shipwrecked. But, the crew are making the best of it and turned the remains into a pirate island. With 2545 pieces, and 8 Minifigures. Lego has priced the set at $199.99/€199.99 with an April 1st release.
This set has the greatest play feature Lego has ever released. The pirates can work together, fix up the wrecked Barracuda and take to the seas. All three sections can be removed from the island, and combined into a full remake of the Black Seas Barracuda. You could say the sandy island is a really fancy display stand.
The new ship has a lot in common with the original 1989 release. It is a remake but with a lot of details updated to more modern Lego building techniques. Some of those new details include a completely reworked bow and stern, a fully furnished interior, and a new curvier hull. The new Black Seas Barracuda is instantly recognizable, and yet almost completely new.
Lego has revealed an updated new backstory for this set. Inhabiting this island is Captain Redbeard, Lady Anchor, Robin Loot, Tattooga, Pirate Twins Port and Starboard, Quartermaster Riggings, and Jack “Dark Shark” Doubloons. Also included are two prisoners, who have long since expired (skeletons). There is even a secret buried treasure that can be discovered.

Built by grubaluk, this Lego MOC is called “Homer’s Home Office Assistant.” It is a reference to the classic episode from The Simpsons titled King Size Homer. Season 7 Episode 7. There is the Drinking Bird, which Homer uses to automate his job. By bouncing up and down the Bird keeps pressing the keyboard, which ends up tripling his productivity. The other office assistant is Snowball II. The cat that seems to be always hanging around. This Lego Snowball II is an extremely accurate build compared to the cartoon. The bright colors, and smooth (SNOT) techniques are all excellently done. As the safety inspector, can Homer Simpson keep the Nuclear Power Plant operating?
“The Great Ball” is a Lego MOC built by Tiago Catarino. The Great Ball is a slightly better version of the Poké Ball. Which is one of most iconic items from the Pokémon video game series. It features a striking blue and white color pattern, with red highlights. Luckily all of these things can be replicated with Lego. Even the button and seam stripe are accounted for.
