Mining For Lego Fuel With EXT01 And Nick

Mining For Lego Fuel With EXT01 And Nick

Nothing is more valuable than fuel. How else can you power your power suit? And, that drone needs a some too. These two are looking for rare proto fuel out on the ice. Mining for Lego fuel is a very explosive and dangerous job. The duo “EXT01 & Nick” is the creation of Devid VII. Nick is all suited up in a Minifigure scale power armor. As usual these Lego builds are very delicate. If you get a closer look at the suit, you can see that there are ski attachments. The joystick design, and clips for feet are also great. Nick will use those joysticks to pilot his accompanying drone named EXT01. A larger unmanned robot, built to do the heavy lifting. These two have great color choices, making them pop out of the white background. They just look so happy to be risking their lives mining for Lego fuel.

A Lego Clockwork Robot Named Fetchbot

A Lego Clockwork Robot Named Fetchbot

This is “Fetchbot” and it is a Lego Clockwork Robot, created by Sven Franic. Featuring retro inspired color choices: red, sky blue, and silver. So many old tin robots feature similar colors. Fetchbot is great at getting stuff, such as a bunch of flowers. Check out the great antenna design, the control panel on the front, the clockwork key, and claw hands. Those hands are using the Ninjago turntable holders, which allow the Lego robot to grip a wide variety of objects. All the better for fetching things.

The Lego Knights Mech, レゴ 軽装型鉄機兵

The Lego Knights Mech, 軽装型鉄機兵 Spear

This is the Lego Knights Mech, or レゴ 軽装型鉄機兵, and is the creation of Moko. The Knight is another great addition to the vast Lego Mech/Robots MOC theme. This mech is a collection of normal Lego pieces and Bionicle. One surprising detail of this build is that the shoulders are upside down Bionicle skulls. Some of those new shield pieces are used in the waist area. This mecha comes equipped with a spear, sword, and shield. Making it ready for any fight. The shield is a giant saw blade, but the sword has a really interesting detail: the guard is an upside down horse armor piece. Even with all the detail, the Knights Mech is still very posable, making it a very dynamic MOC.

Take Command With These Lego Warhammer 40k Ultramarines

Lego Warhammer 40k Ultramarines

This squad of Lego Warhammer 40k Ultramarines is the creation of funnystuffs. These soldiers are outfitted in some of the best power armour (armor?) around. The iconic blue and gold color scheme is perfectly recreated with Lego. A lot of work has been done here to keep these MOCs small. Each Ultramarine also has unique armor. They come equipped with all sorts of weapons, such as a giant sword, huge energy axe, various guns, and even a powered chainsaw sword. A story can be told based on these little details. Check out the marine with the replacement leg. The build also contains a few custom features, a lot of little decals, and even custom molded helmets for three of the marines.

The Lego Household Arrival People Introducer Robot

The Lego Household Arrival People Introducer Robot - HAPI

Meet the Household Arrival People Introducer Robot, or HAPI for short. This little lego robot is the creation of Tom Gerardin. It features one of the new Lego Dots, which is a new theme focused on emoji and smiley faces. Normally used for bracelets and accessories. Just goes to show that you can borrow from any Lego theme to make your creations. Standing about as tall as two minifigures with a lot of personality squeezed into its frame. Check out the robot pauldron used for the head, and the minifigure laser guns for the jets on the back. It looks like HAPI might hang out with the Mixels in its spare time.

The Table Scraps, A Lego Robot Family

The Table Scrap Lego Robot Family

The Table Scrap Robot Family is the creation of Milan Sekiz. Who challenged themselves to created something with a bunch of never-before-used parts. A lot of which ended up being Minifigure accessories. This Lego Robot Family is all decked out in steampunk colors. The brown, gold, and silver work together well and help make these Table Scraps feel like a family. Some of the details of note are the gold rings used for joints, samurai swords for feet, the ray guns for shoulders, and even Batman batarangs for decorative head gear. It almost looks like they put themselves together. I like to imagine this little Lego Robot Family wandering the earth gathering new parts as they are thrown out…

The Lego K-9 Multi-Purpose Support Unit

The Lego K-9 Multi-Purpose Support Unit, Dog

This is the Lego K-9 Multi-Purpose Support Unit, built by Red. This cyber-dog is part of bigger team, and looks ready to go on a mission. The various robot looking augmentations, face shield and antennae, are all sleek modifications to the dog body. This build is super smooth. With great curves, which are very hard to achieve with lego. Check out the hind legs, and the front chest area. The end result is is a doberman robotic dog that looks like it leapt right out science fiction (or, maybe cyberpunk?) In fact, his brother might just be “Rex,” from Fallout New Vegas.

Life On Mars With Elon, A Lego Spaceman

Life On Mars With Elon, A Lego Spaceman

There are a whole bunch of “Power Armor” builds out there. Sometimes known as “Exo Suits.” They usually focus on using a lego minifigure head, and then recreating their body out of lego pieces. In the end, creating a type of mechanical looking armor. This MOC is titled “Elon – Life on Mars” and is created by Devid VII. The orange plates mixed with the tan in the background makes a great simple, out of focus Mars. The blue/teal of the spacesuit is a perfect contrast to the orange. And, the white gives the whole thing a very clean future look. Usually these type of lego builds are super fragile, but this one looks sturdy. Lots of clips here.

New Lego Minions Theme, Ready To Invent In April

Lego Minions Theme 75551 Brick Built Minions And Their Lair

Lego Minions are one of the most popular themes for MOCs. Almost everybody seems to like them, and there are a million different ways to build them. So it is no surprise that Lego has officially announced a new Lego Minions Theme. Five sets were revealed at the 2020 New York Toy Fair. The biggest set (and coolest) revealed is 75551 Brick-built Minions and their Lair. It features two substantial brick built minions, Kevin and Stuart. They look great on their own, but they also come with 3 Minion Figures/Minifigures. They also mention that you can rebuild Kevin into Bob, but exactly what is going on is unclear in the photos.

The surprise with this set is that the giant Minions can open up to reveal their hidden lairs/rooms. Kevin opens up into a tall laboratory. Perfect for inventing crazy stuff. While Stuart opens up into a bedroom. Full of toys and games. The new sets also feature Instructions PLUS, a new interactive set of building instructions for your phone and tablet.

The FCA AHM 5 – A Lego Heavy Mech

The FCA AHM 5 - A Lego Heavy Mech

The FCA AHM 5, a lego heavy mech, is ready for a fight in the Italian countryside. This MOC is created by Marco Marozzi. It has an olive green (a rare color) and grey color scheme making it better at blending into stuff. The build uses custom decals and painted details which helps give it a finished appearance. Check out some of the fun stuff, like the feet/toe design, the pilot cab/face, and all the pipes scattered around everything. This lego heavy mech is a great addition to the thriving robot/mech category.
