Can You See What I See? On A Scary Scary Street …

On A Scary Scary Night, On A Scary Scary Street… Lego MOC

Can you see what I see? …A frightened cat on a window sill… This little village street is hiding a lot of secrets. “On a scary scary street” is a Lego MOC created by Caleb Saw. In the picture book “Can You See What I See?: On a Scary Scary Night” there are incredibly detailed images with hidden puzzles centered around a spooky story. The scary street Lego MOC is an extremely accurate recreation of one of those pages. A lot of time and thought has gone into preserving the hidden objects. This Lego scene has even recreated the lighting from the original. The buildings and street are lit up with a bunch of warm LEDs. This gives the impression of a recently abandoned street. There are a lot of really well done details here, the brick built road, the multiple street signs, the variety of window designs, and ominous dark cave. Even the digitally added sky and moon match the book.

Leave The Lights On When Hercules Is Around

Leave The Lights On When Hercules Is Around, Lego MOC

Lego Monsters can be surprisingly horrifying. This Lego “Hercules” is a monstrous creation built by Buffoon. They used the scarab insect as inspiration. Which shows in the exoskeleton style design. A lot of these terrifying beasts use a lot of the Lego Bionicle pieces. I can honestly say that this build uses some pieces that are not entirely familiar. The skull head plates work well for the knee caps, but the other bright translucent blue pieces are really interesting. The plastic wings were used in a recent Ant Man release. Then there are a lot of horns, hooks, and hoses that connect everything together. A time tested way to make almost anything scary. The use of the transparent green/yellow is a great contrast to the blue and black. Maybe someone just needs to give it chance. Maybe Hercules just need a friend. Just make sure to leave the lights on.

Lego Collectible Minifigures Series 14 (71010) Leaked Images!

Lego Collectible Minifigures Series 14, Monsters

Lego is going strong with their Collectible Minifigures theme. The recent Series 13 has proven to be extremely hard to find, with most retailers sold out long ago. 2015 is going to be another weird year for this theme. The next release will be the Simpsons Series 2 (a bunch of early production images were leaked). After that the official Series 14 will be released in the late summer or early fall. Breaking with the normal formula this series will be completely themed for Halloween. There will be 16 various monster and horror themed Minifigs in this release, some of them will even feature some extremely cool new molds.

So far 11 of them have been leaked, with the other 5 still hidden away somewhere. There is the (80s?) Frankenstein, Zombie Office Worker, Zombie Cheerleader, the Tigeress (a female tiger), a Mad Scientist, a Werewolf named Kel, a Zombie Pirate Captain, a Plant Man, a Witch and her Black Cat, a Vampire (actually a Vampiress), and a Skeleton Costume Man.

The Tigeress might be one of the most popular of Minifigures, coming with one of those new Minifig tails, and a neat 1960ish hair piece with ears.

The other stand out is the crazy Mad Scientist. This is the first Minifigure to come with an elongated head. This is a super cool piece but most likely it is attached to the glasses/hair. Making it a little less interesting.

The Werewolf is looking pretty familiar (Monster Fighters) and the Undead Pirate has some awesome printing. Check out the skull and crossbones, this one is looking extra dead.

The Plant Guy is maybe the least interesting figure, and the Witch represents a pretty popular Halloween style.

The Vampiress is looking deadly, and the plainish Skeleton Guy is pretty charming.

Have a Happy Lego Halloween

nobu_tary's Lego Halloween Costumes

It is that time of the year where all the ghosts and ghouls come out and play with Lego. These super cute Lego Halloween decorations are the creation of nobu_tary. These brick built figures are dressed up as a Werewolf and Witch. The details are all well considered. For instance the SNOT style building, which is a Halloween approved acronym. The end result are two very cartoonish Lego figures full of character.

Also included, are a handful of other Halloween builds. Two of the more adorable and simple ghosts are ready to scare any trick-or-treators. The sausage based mouth is ingenious. There is also a huge bat (giving off Batman vibes) and a light-up jack-o-lantern.
