Lego Pizza Night Should be Every Night

Nick Sweetman's Lego Friday Night Is Pizza Night

Nick Sweetman put together this awesome photo titled: “Friday Night Is Pizza Night.” I disagree, every night should be Pizza Night, especially a Lego Pizza Night. Just look at this charming Lego teenage Minifigure, it would make a great addition to any Lego City, or Modular setup. He is so happy to deliver your pizza on time, he doesn’t even properly box it beforehand.

The Tumbler, A Lego Batman MOC with Instructions!

Brent Waller's Lego Batman Tumbler

Batman’s Tumbler is one of the most iconic vehicles in recent cinema. Lego quickly released a version of their own, titled “Lego Super Heroes Tumbler Chase (76001).” While popular, a lot of fans were underwhelmed by the actual design of the Tumbler. It was small and simple. Lego has recently given it another try with the release of “Lego Superheroes The Tumbler (76023).” This one is scaled up larger then the Minifigures, but is extremely detailed. One of the coolest vehicles Lego has released.

But, Lego is still missing a good Minifigure scale Tumbler. Brent Waller has decided to create his own, and best of all has created instructions to build your own. This Batmobile is perfectly scaled for Batman, while preserving the detail and shape of the famous car.

Brent Waller's Lego Batman Tumbler Details

A Lego Ideas (CUUSOO) page was created to support this MOC, and it quickly earned its 10,000 votes. Ultimately Lego announced that this would be “not approved.” But don’t worry, if you have enough Lego bricks at home, you can create your own.

New Lego Creator, Mini Cooper (10242) Revealed

Lego Creator Mini Cooper 10242 Box

Lego has announced that its next Lego Creator set will be the Mini Cooper (10242). This classic green vehicle is made up of 1,077 pieces with a price point of $99.99. The scale and design of this set is a perfect match with the recent Lego Creator Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (10220). Does this mean that Lego has a new theme? A classic cars theme in the vain of the Lego Modular Buildings. The Mini Cooper has a fully furnished interior, with detailed engine, and full trunk (including a picnic basket!).  The overall shape and impression of this set is a good match to the real life version.

The details are amazing, with one of the most beautiful car interiors Lego has ever produced. The only catch is that the steering wheel looks a little bit low, maybe it can be adjusted. Make sure to check out all the details in the official press release below, and to watch the (now standard) Lego Designer Video.

The Homer. Powerful like a gorilla, yet soft like a Nerf ball.

BrianWilliams's Lego Simpsons, The Homer

“Tonight we’re going to witness automotive history… powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball. Introducing The Homer.” — The Simpsons

The Homer is the creation of Brian Williams, with the assistance of Homer Simpson. The miniaturizing of one of the most infamous vehicles has been handled brilliantly. This is a Lego car that Homer Simpson would be proud of. The child isolation bubble dome, the tail fins, the massive La Cucaracha playing horn, chrome details, and green paint scheme are all present. If you are going to go out of business, there is no finer way.

“Jerry, what’s the sticker price? $82,000! This monstrosity costs $82,000? What have I done?” — The Simpsons

High Velocity Ice Cutting Speeder. A Lego Ice Planet Themed MOC.

A Plastic Infinity's High Velocity Ice Cutting Speeder on Ice Planet

One Lego theme that you don’t see very often is the Ice Planet 2002 theme. This was the Lego Space theme from 1993 through 1994. It had a heavy emphasis on blue and white bricks. The theme contained a lot of white haired minifigures and the coolest (pun!) accessory ever made: the transparent orange chainsaw (6117). The High Velocity Ice Cutting Speeder (HiVICS), by A Plastic Infinity, is a cool MOC based on Ice Planet. This is a compact speeder in the SNOT style, with come really inventive use of Lego parts. For instance, the blue baseball cap and the Bionicle (?) pieces. The Lego hoses also lend a sleekness to the speeder that works well.

A Plastic Infinity used one customized Lego piece in this built. If you can spot it, make sure to go over to the Flickr page and let them know!

Lego Star Wars: Jabba’s Sail Barge (75020) Reviewed by Csacsa234 @ Eurobricks

Csacsa234's Lego Star Wars Jabba's Sail Barge 75020 Review 01

The new Lego Star Wars: Jabba’s Sail Barge (75020) has officially been released and is starting to show up at some retailers. This set comes with 4 minifigures (Slave Leia, Max Rebo, Weequay, and Ree-Yees), 1 bigfigure (Jabba the Hutt) and 1 droid (R2D2). It contains many hidden play features, and some nice details. Jabba’s Sail Barge comes in at 850 pieces and a $119.99 price tag. Which is a good deal cheaper then the previous Jabba’s Sail Barge (6210) on the secondary market.

Eurobricks user Csacsa234 has already posted a full photo review. Noting that there are hidden pirate cannons, flick firing missiles, undercarriage wheels, a removable deck/roof, and foldable sides/walls. This set is full of play features.

Csacsa234's Lego Star Wars Jabba's Sail Barge 75020 Review 02

Inside Jabba’s Sail Barge is a kitchen, jail, throne room, and a music stage. Max Rebo and his futuristic piano (or is it an organ?) steal the show from Jabba in this set. He just happens to be a perfect Lego minifigure, oozing cuteness and a hot blue color scheme. Interestingly, Lego has provided film (thin plastic) sails for the Sail Barge which will hopefully last a long time. There are also 26 stickers, which luckily are not required. Jabba’s Sail Barge looks great with and without stickers.

Csacsa234's Lego Star Wars Jabba's Sail Barge 75020 Review 03

The Lego minifigures are extremely detailed. With a newish version of R2D2 (grey top, and better printing), Slave Leia, Jabba the Hutt, Ree-Yees, Weequay, and Max Rebo. While the Jabba the Hutt and his goons look great the real star is Max Rebo (sorry Leia). Just look at that little blue dude.
