Go Ink With These Splatoon Lego Figures

Go Ink With These Splatoon Lego Figures, Lego MOC

The Inklings are the coolest squids around. Their street style mixed with their talent to ink everything in sight makes them some of the most memorable video game characters. By far the best new series from Nintendo in the past decade. A Splatoon Lego theme would look great. These Lego Inklings are created by Lego 7. The figures come equipped with their own specialized weapon/tool, a Splattershot, a Splat Roller, and a Splatterscope. Each item is instantly recognizable and they are even color coordinated with their Inkling. The Lego figures are able to be displayed in a variety of poses, achieved by a variety of small clips. Some of the coolest features include the brick built headphones, the ink tanks on their backs, and their eye design. Each figure also comes with a display base. There is even a Splatoon Squid swimming up the side of the tallest column. Then there is the variety of stickers that do a great job representing the graffiti/stickers all over each level.

Explore These Custom Uncharted 4 Lego Minifigures

Explore These Custom Uncharted 4 Lego Minifigures

Uncharted is one of the best video games series on the Playstation. The treasure hunting brothers, the Drakes, get wrapped up in a crazy plot to find the pirate Henry Avery’s treasure. Which eventually involves many other pirates, and a whole host of bad guys. These custom Lego Minifigures based on Uncharted 4 are the creation of RagingPhotography. The group includes all the main heros: Victor Sullivan, Samual Drake, Nathan Drake, and Elena Fisher. Each Minifig is made with official Lego pieces, which the creator has provided a list for. All of the characters feature custom paint work on their torsos. A little bit of blood and dirt has been added too. Hopefully they can find Avery’s treasure, get some rest, and retire from their surprisingly dangerous jobs.

Painting A Rainbow With Lego

Painting A Rainbow With Lego

“Rainbow for Children” is a Lego creation by 0937 Superfan. The rainbow painting is a great Lego MOC. Especially the effect used for creating a wrinkled piece of paper. The white plates broken up and angled at various spots works well. The paper looks like it is mostly two layers of Lego, with maybe a few sections of only one layer. This allows the rainbow painting to be on the same level as the paper. The paint brushes and pencil are also Lego creations. The brush tips are all different. The yellow is using a banana piece, blue is a Minifigure helmet feather piece, and the red is a snake. The tops of the paint brushes use soda can 1×1 prints, and a padlock 1×1 print. This rainbow is part of the Lego challenge, #LetsBuildTogether, in which the goal is to create and share rainbows. For this challenge, Lego will donate 500,000 sets to children in need.

Model Making With Lego

nobu tary Lego Model Making Pliers

If you are going to start making models you are going to need the proper tools. Nobu_tary has decided to make their own Model Making kit out of Lego. The most impressive achievement here is just how lifelike these are compared to their real life counterparts. The Lego plies are perfect. What also helps them is the plastic model kit make out of Lego. Looks like it could be some sort of spaceship.

The Lego paint brush is another tool in this collection. Here a Minifigure broom, and Darth Vader’s Lightsaber (from Darth Vader 75111). If you weren’t looking carefully you might not even know these were Lego pieces.

Another tool that a Lego model maker needs, is some tape. Here nobu_tary went with a translucent orange tape (Something like this). All three of these items are a great series of Lego MOCs. An Awesome Lego Classic Space Jacket

EvilMadScientist's Lego Classic Space Flight Jacket 01

The Lego Classic Space Logo is an icon for everything Lego did right in the 1980’s. It is extremely recognizable, and embodies the optimism that the world was going through at the time. It seemed that through the 1990’s Lego was quick to forget this. Going from a classical space exploration theme into something more extreme. Since then there has been a resurgence in this classic theme. Lego has even recognized this trend, and has been making references to its popularity. One can only hope a full theme will land in the future.

Evil Mad Scientist has recently created a hand painted Classic Space jacket featuring the Lego Classic Space Logo. The beautiful simplicity of the logo means that this is a relatively easy project to do yourself. Evil Mad Scientist has included detailed step by step instructions.

The use of stencils and leather paints means that almost anyone can create one of these flight jackets. The whole project can be finished up in a few days. If you happen to have an old leather jacket around then this turns into a pretty cheap project.
