Staying Dry With This Lego Elf Retreat

Lego Elf Retreat

This Lego Elf Retreat is the creation of Inthert. It was built as an entry into the MOC Wars 2020, in the Armless category. Which meant the scene had to feature weapons that were not being used as weapons. With that in mind you might notice that almost everything in this Elf Retreat is built out of weapons. Check out the guns used for the tree trunk, the axes and rifles used as lumber, and even the quiver full of arrows being used as a stair step. The most inventive use though is in that chair at the lookout spot. The crossbows used for chair legs is inspired. The end result is one of the best looking minifigure scale chairs around. Ultimately, there are seven different types of weapons hidden around. It’s hard to tell if all of these walkways are built to stay out of the purple water because it somehow looks relaxing and poisonous. The lego doors being used for these walkways is also a great detail. Giving a recycling vibe to these elves. It seems very fitting.

Did you miss me? The Mask Lego

Did you miss me? The Mask Lego

The Mask is one of Jim Carrey’s most iconic films. The blend of live action and old style cartoon works. The extremely animated face of the main star is up to the challenge (with a little bit of help from special effects). This Lego MOC based on The Mask, is the creation of Pistash. It is an entry into the MOC Wars 2020. Specifically the “Not The Bees!” category. The build is instantly recognizable, and just like the source, full of bright colors.

Let’s Float Away During A Lego Sunset

Let's Float Away, Lego Sunset

A beautiful sunset is one of the most calming events in life. This Lego MOC called “Let’s Float Away” is the creation of ForlornEmpire. Who managed to capture the beauty by building a brick built lego sunset as a background to their hot air ballon adventure. This lego scene in actually an entry into the MOC Wars 2020, for category 25: Unique Stays. These MOC competitions have been going on for years, but recently they seem to be dominating the hobby. “Let’s Float Away” is a great lego scene using the new ballon pieces, a Lego Architecture style building, and a simple mosaic for the lego sunset background. This is a perfect example of “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

A Full Lego Dinner, With Raspberry Cake

Full Lego Dinner

“Let me whet your appetite” is a lego MOC created by Pistash. This Lego dinner is an entry for the MOC WARS 2020 Contest with Team MOCFU. Specifically Category 8: “Couldn’t Eat Another Bite,” build a meal that’s half or more finished. Everything but the dinner table is made out of official lego pieces. Even the towel/napkin on the right comes from a lego set (I think the VW Van). Check out the piece of meat, plate, utensils, and even the wine glass. The plate is made out of over 100 curved slopes, and the side of brocolli is from an old 1970s lego set. Also take a good close look at the Raspberry cake, it looks delicious!

“Mister Frodo! Look! It’s an Oliphant!” – A Minifigure Scale Lego Oliphant

Elliott Feldman's Orthanc Bracket: The Oliphant

This Lord of the Rings influenced Lego Oliphant is the latest creation from Elliott Feldman. Everything is built in a Minifigure scale. Meaning that this Oliphant is huge. In fact the dimensions of this MOC are: 25 studs wide, 75 studs long, and 65 studs tall. For comparison, a typical Lego Modular Building is 32 studs wide. The trunk and tusks of this Oliphant are extremely well made. Also, check out all the details on the tower. Some artistic changes were made, for instance the tower is built out of red bricks instead of the more accurate brown. This was changed due to a limited part selection in brown. But, the red might even be better. It adds a whole lot of contrast to the other colors, and really makes the tower pop out of the scene.

Elliott Feldman's Orthanc Bracket: The Oliphant Backside

This Lego Oliphant was built for the Middle Earth Lego Olympics over on MOCpages. This is a contest between Lego builders centered around building Middle Earth themed stuff. The Oliphant is an entry to MELO Round 3, and a part of the Orthanc Bracket.

Make sure to check out all the details, such as Frodo and Sam watching from a nearby hillside. Gollum in the process of running away. AT-AT style controls for driving the Oliphant, and a hidden mini fridge for its passengers.
