Lego With Friends: Veronica Belmont, over on Tested

Looking for something to watch during lunch? Do you have a spare 120 minutes? Then check out Tested Lego with Friends: Veronica Belmont. It is a whole 120 minutes of building Lego sets and chatting about stuff. Then if you happen to have even more time on your hands you can sign up for a Tested Membership and watch an additional 4 episodes with Will, Norm, and Veronica. They start off building a verity of smaller sets, but work their way up to Benny’s Spaceship, a Star Wars AT-AT, and the green Lego Mini.

The Lego Lounge is a Basement in a House Designed for Lego

Finding a place for a Lego collection can be a very difficult task. Every year more and more pieces get added, and eventually (for most of us) they end up in a huge unsorted pile. Slowly consuming a spare room, garage, basement, or office space. Most people never get past the point of sorting their collection into a few drawers and storage containers.

Jeffrey Pelletier, an architect, put his knowledge and skills into creating the perfect space for his Lego collection. His whole house has been designed to accommodate Lego. There are well over 250,000 pieces stored in this collection, and most of them are located in what looks like the most friendly basement ever built. With 9 foot ceilings, a full bar, and a whole room dedicated to building, this is the type of space that adults dream about.

The whole house is located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, and was originally built in 1902. After an extensive remodel in 2013, the 3,300 square feet house is a great example of how to showcase your love for Lego. The living space features extensive built-in shelving systems, modern furniture, and super colorful walls. Even the Lego Modular buildings have their own space.

Lego Kladno Campus 2015 (4000018) – Employee Exclusive

It looks like Lego has released another new exclusive set. This time an employee exclusive version of the Lego Kladno Campus 2015 (4000018). Kladno is a city located in the Czech Republic and is home of a huge Lego factory known as the Kladno Campus. For the 15th anniversary of its opening Lego has created an architecture style set for the employees. Because, of the exlusivieness of this set, you can only find it on Ebay or other market place stores. So far going for about $150-200!

Interestingly, Lego recently released an exclusive set based on this factory, the Lego Kladno Campus 2012. It looks like the facility has grown a lot since then.

The Blue Lion Castle – An Epic Lego MOC

If the Lego King’s Castle (70404) is just not big or detailed enough then this Blue Lion Castle might be what you are looking for. This classic looking castle is made up of tens of thousands of Lego pieces. The whole things sticks to a gray and blue color scheme that works extremely well. These Lion Knights and Soldiers are protecting one of the most epic Lego castles ever built. The detailing in the walls, the stained glass, the grand entrance, and the huge tower make this thing a work of art.

The Lego Blue Lion Castle was inspired by the famous Hohenzollern Castle. Which is located on the top of Berg (Mount) Hohenzollern in Germany. The iconic Hohenzollern Castle shares the blue and gray design, and overall floor plan with the Blue Lion Castle. The Lego version though seems to be much more ornate then the real life inspiration.

Monasterio de El Escorial – Lego Architecture

The Lego Architecture line has proven to be extremely popular. Which has lead to a whole lot of people creating their own Architecture inspired creations. This is the Monasterio de El Escorial built by Gabriel Riutort. The Monasterio de El Escorial is a residence of the King of Spain, located in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Construction of the building started in 1563 and completed in 1584. The Lego version would be built from 1000+ bricks, and contain the whole landmark. The red roof of the monastery is extremely iconic, as is the symmetrical system of rooms surrounding the main building. Even the Gardens of the Friars is instantly recognizable. The best part is the inclusion of a mock box, set in the typical design of the Lego Architecture theme.

The Phantom Of The Opera, A Lego Ideas Project

A new Lego Ideas project is bringing one of the most famous novels to life. The Phantom of the Opera goes back to 1909 with a serialization written by Pierre Lafitte. It has since been adapted into almost every known media that it can, from theatre to film to television. A new version of The Phantom of the Opera has been proposed for Lego by user reekardoo. The project has been set up as a modular theatre with a stage, 6 individual balcony buildings, 1 royal balcony, and a set of house seats. It would be great to get a whole set, but based on what Lego has proven to release, just having the stage would be great. The backdrops incorporated into the stage are interchangeable and are only limited to your imagination and size. The symmetry and gold finishing touches are beautiful, and a set like this would probably be popular. With something like this you would be able to create your own plays.

411C: A Beautiful Lego Studio in Lego

Lego builder Dave Kaleta has created an extremely realistic MOC based on his Lego studio. The project is titled “411C” and is named after the address of the studio space. This is a great workspace, featuring two huge desks, plenty of organized storage, unorganized storage, and even Lego mosaics hanging on the wall. This scene is made all the better by natural lighting and a huge window.

It is the details that make 411C so lifelike. Notice the glass jars on top of the shelving. The multicolored and differently shaped storage containers in the loft space. The well made mini mosaics. The feet holding up the main desk are especially well done, as is the slightly askew handles on the drawers. The desk chair is another great build, with a great use of a Lego propeller for the casters.

A Vibrant Lego Gingerbread House

Are you looking to decorate your Lego Modular Building collection for the holidays? Do you need a place for Mr. and Mrs. Claus to live? Then this Lego Gingerbread House will interest you. Created by Parks and Wrecked Creations, this Lego Modular Gingerbread House is a work of art. It is one of the most colorful Modular Buildings out there. The roof alone is tiled with 2×2 round pieces in six colors. With domes being used for accents. The use of the printed spiral pieces, the multicolor giant flowers, and the newish star pieces are excellent details. Seen from a distance it would be easy to mistake this for a real Gingerbread House covered in frosting and candy. Just make sure you don’t take a bite out of this one.

Etch A Sketch, View Master, an RC Car, This is a Lego Kids Room

You can build almost anything out of Lego. Including extremely detailed model replicas of bedrooms. It is easy to say that a huge chunk of the Adult Lego fans grew up in the 1980s. This was a decade that is responsible for some of the most famous Lego sets out there. Including Lego Pirates, the Lego Monorail, and a good chunk of Classic Space. All of these sets were assembled in bedrooms across the world. LegoJalex has created an amazingly detailed replica of a stereotypical 1980s bedroom. Everything in this kids room is Lego. There are Lego versions of an Etch A Sketch, View Master, an RC Car, robots, and even a model builders desk. Everything is impeccable. Check out the fringe of the carpet, made from white Lego grill pieces, the slightly messed up look helps sell this as a well loved kids room.
