Minifigures Need To Eat Too, Part 2 – Lego Taco Bell And KFC!

Lego Minifigures are lining up to eat a Cool Ranch® Doritos® Locos Tacos or a KFC Famous Bowl®. They can even wash it down with an ice cold Pepsi, Yum (Brands)! These two Lego MOC fast food buildings are the creation of Eric Badis, who is putting together a nice collection of Lego fast food joints. The Lego Taco Bell features the standard beige and purple design you will find in almost any city. The sign/logo and the wallpaper pattern are all custom printouts applied to the Lego building. The end result is amazingly lifelike. Then their is the Lego KFC, which features a more exaggerated design. It is based on the red and white stripe motif that you find on their buckets. This tall two story building will fit in with the official modular buildings.

A Lego French Classical Stage Featuring The Molière Comedies

“This project make possible to represent at least six of Molière’s most famous comedy : Dom Juan, Tartuffe, The Misanthrope, The Imaginary Invalid (Le Malade imaginaire), The Learned Ladies (Les Femmes savantes) and The Affected Young Ladies (Les Précieuses ridicules). But, of course, minifigures and pieces can be used to build anything you want !”

The Lego French Classical Stage is a Lego Ideas project created by Campistron1984. The stage is based on the Théâtre du Palais-Royal, a French theatre in the seventeenth century. This one has been set up to feature the Molière Comedies, and if you want you can build and create new backdrops to host any number of shows. The back of the theatre can easily be switched out. This Lego MOC comes equipped with a salon set, a dinning room, and a bedroom set. Also feature are a couple of trap doors, so you can fool even the most skeptical Minifigure. Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, (Start)

The NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) controller is the most iconic design of video gaming. The grey, black, and red are instantly recognizable. This Lego version is the creation of Chris Maddison. Who built this MOC for the Iron Builder 5.0 competition. The challenge piece is the new Nexo Knights shield. You can find them being used to recreate the D-Pad. The Start and Select buttons are another perfect recreation. The whole thing makes you want to try out the famous Konomi code: Up, Up, Down, Down…

A She-Hulk and Iron Man Team Up

She-Hulk and Iron Man have teamed up to take down the famous Magneto. Amazingly the X-Men are no where to be found. The “She-Hulk and Iron Man Team Up” is an MOC created by Ben Cossy. The fight takes place in a downtown looking area. It looks to be about the same scale as the Lego Modular buildings. Then there is the road, which might have more pieces then the rest of the scene. The overall concept of this Marvel themed build is based on Superior Iron Man #1. In that comic they are fighting against the Teen Abomination. Here, they swapped in Magneto since an Abomination Minifigure was unavailable. A great decision, as it allows the addition of cars into the fight. Also if you look very carefully you might notice that the She-Hulk and Iron Man are unofficial Minifigures.

Welcome To The Lego City House Of Culture!

This is the Lego House Of Culture, designed and build by O0ger. It is always an interesting challenge when you take one of those weird ugly Lego Pieces and use them in a new way. In this case, the gigantic wing that comes in sets like the Lego City Airport 60104. Two of these big wings are used to create the roof of the House of Culture. The large whole in the wing, where the rest of the plane goes has been transformed into a neat skylight. Some other details of note include the giant chess set on the patio, a nice looking bus shelter, and some neat benches built into the landscaping. The end result is one awesome architecture themed MOCs.

A Lego Gumball Machine – Not For Human Consumption

We Love Lego Katamari Damacy

The King of All Cosmos has been drinking again and has made a mess. Destroying the universe. Good thing the little Prince is there to clean everything up. He starts by rolling everything up into a Katamari, a sticky ball. Katamari Damacy is known for its weird art style, concept, and gameplay. But, the game is most famous for its awesome soundtrack. It is weird that this video game series has been struggling to find a place with the newer gaming systems. For now we can just create our own adventures. Matt De Lanoy has created a Lego Katamari Damancy MOC. Featuring the ball and the Prince. This was part of an Iron Builder competition. Lego Stitch: Experiment 626. Extremely Dangerous.

Experiment 626, more commonly known as Stitch has been let loose. By far one of the cutest laboratory experiments, even though he was designed to destroy populated areas. Stitch has been officially classified extremely dangerous. The good news is that he met Lilo in Hawaii, where a series of adventures taught him to ignore all his programming. Resulting in Stitch becoming one of the most enduring characters. This Lego Stitch MOC is created by Legohaulic. Who has spent months carefully refining this design. The figure is just about 7 inches tall, and has 13 points of articulation. Meaning that Stitch can be posed doing almost anything you can image. He also has a collection of costumes, from Halloween to Experiment 626 (where he grows 2 more arms, and antennae).

The Rooster Says: Happy Lego Lunar New Year

Today (January 28th) is the start of the Lunar New Year 2017, and the celebrations will last though most of February. This year stars the Rooster. People born in years of the Rooster are supposed to be honest, intelligent, confident, and diverse. All perfect traits for Lego builders. ZiO Chao has been hard at work building a bunch of Lego Lunar New Year MOCs honoring the Rooster over the last month or so. The star of the build is the Rooster himself. A highly detailed and voluminous bird made of Lego pieces. The shapes and feather details are not easy to work with in Lego. Check out those tail feathers!

The bird is accompanied by a few builds of writing. These super complicated shapes are not at all friendly to the squarish Lego brick. What is amazing is just how legible the final MOCs are.

The World Needs Heroes – A Lego Overwatch Collection

The super popular video game Overwatch has at least 23 characters, and that number is growing. With the newest being Sombra. Many people have been building Lego Overwatch MOCs based on these characters for a while now. Lego builder shm03337 has been creating a whole collection of Overwatch heroes. They have currently built nine, which seems like a lot but is not even half of them. This is a huge project.

The group consists of Lego versions of D.Va, Bastion, Torbjorn, Soldier 76, Mercy, Reaper, Pharah, Reinhardt, and Genji. The D.Va stands out for just how much work went into it. Not only did shm03337 build the character but they also built her mech suit. D.Va can also fit inside the suit, with some “slight” modifications to the Lego figure (removing legs). Then there is Bastion who has his Lego bird, Torbjorn with his awesome beard, Mercy’s wingspan, and Reinhardt’s huge hammer. There are so many characters, so if you do not see your favorite it might be added at a later time.

There is also a good 6 minute video that shows off all the little details for these Lego Overwatch characters. This was put together after the first 7 heroes where built, so a few of the newer ones are missing. It is a must watch video, especially to see how they all work.
