Benny's Quarantine — Lego MOC

It looks like Benny has been self-quarantining up in space. He brought all the stuff needed for a long stay: soda, t-bone steaks, Lego sets, and toilet paper. This Lego MOC called “Benny’s Quarantine” is created by EMazingbrix. Built for the recent Brickzlab Challenge, where the goal was to create a self-isolation scene with at least two walls. The final vignette has one giant wall on a diagonal, featuring a giant window with a brick built space scene. Off to the side is a tiny wall that connects at an angle. A lot of work went into getting the two to connect as tightly as possible. The base features multiple SNOT techniques to get everything flat. Benny looks like he appreciates it, any sharp corners or studs could mean doom in his space suit. Although I am not so sure what he is going to use a crate of TNT for…

Out On A Walk With The Space Buds

Nothing is better than stretching some robot legs and going for a walk. Especially when you are cooped up in a space station all day. This pair of Space Buds is created by bluebrick. Created as an entry into Vignweek 2020, a space themed Lego vignette challenge. These two astronauts are just hanging out in their high tech powered walkers. The walkers are the focus of this Lego MOC, and they are surprisingly detailed. The feet in particular are huge compared to their Minifigure pilots. You would probably have a hard time pushing these over. The legs are topped off with pilot seats. Safety seems to be a priority as each pilot is encased by the walker, they have a heavy duty steering system, and even headrests. The build is finished with a super simple SNOT style base.

Fly Me To The Lego Moon

This Lego “Astronaut” is a creation of R 194. A mouse seems to have found itself on the moon in this comical Lego MOC. The mouse is outfitted an a very bulky spacesuit, with a giant air tank on the back, and room for its ears on top. It looks like the way into the suit is by the giant valve on the top. The Lego moon that the astronaut has found itself sitting on is an anthropomorphized crescent. The yellow frog on the tip of the moon is a fun detail. While the mouse looks like it is trying to find a way to eat a chunk of moon cheese. And, I like to think the viynl record on the back of the spacesuit is a copy of Fly Me To The Moon.

Lego Classic Space Pirates On The Moon

“ARRRR! The Space Pirates are here to plunder yer moon treasures.”

This Classic Space Pirates Lego MOC is a creation by captainsmog. Built as an entry into the MOC Wars 2020, category 23, Thar Be Pirates. The goal is to take any of the Lego themes and add pirates. The scene features an innocent Spaceman being hunted down by a small group of space pirates. The star of the build is the space ship. (Or is it a land space ship?) The six wheel vessel is manned by the four meanest pirates this side of Luna. Being lead into battle by a mean skeleton spaceman figurehead. The classic blue and yellow design is a perfect fit and makes everything feel old. Perfect for a pirate theme. What kind of treasure could they be hunting for? Maybe the are on a quest for the fabled moon cheese.

Draganpopart has revealed a couple awesome Lego collage art pieces. The classic Lego spaceman is 20″ x 16″ on canvas. Using various mediums; such as watercolors, acrylics, and vintage book prints. There is also the iconic space console, which is painted on a 14″ canvas using the same methods and materials as the spaceman. The detail achieved on these art pieces is great and would look great hanging from any Lego fans wall.

A Posable 6x Scale Classic Lego Spaceman Blue

Have you ever thought that the Lego Minifigures are too small? Maybe they could be improved by making them 6 times larger? Well that is exactly what CrayonBricks did with their Classic Spaceman Blue build. This guy could easily be Benny’s big brother. The 6x scale Lego Man (can’t really call it a Minifigure) is fully posable, featuring all the movable joints as the smaller Minifig. This big guy even has the jetpack/air tanks on the back. What exactly are those intended to be anyway? I say jetpack. The only thing missing here is a broken helmet chin strap.
