The Lego Collector’s New Shipment Just Arrived!

The Lego Collector's New Shipment Just Arrived!

As you start to collect Lego after a while it starts to take over. First a box, then a shelf, a room, and before you know it a whole house (and maybe a storage unit or office). But what happens when your Lego collection starts collecting Lego. That is exactly what is going on with this Lego MOC called “Just arrived” created by brick_expert. You can go vote for it over on Lego Ideas. The Lego Collector has let Lego overrun their room. But that doesn’t slow down amassing new sets. His newly finished Lego Star Destroyer looks great, but where should it be displayed? There are a lot of details in this build that are similar to real life. The overpacked shelves full of Lego models, the boxes of sets stacked up in the corner, and the carefully sorted drawers full of awesome pieces. A great detail is the brick built carpet on the floor. And the drawers in particular ended up being an amazing build. You can never have enough Lego bricks!

The Empire Has Occupied Jedha City – Lego Star Wars MOC

The Empire Over Jedha City - Lego Star Wars MOC

In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the Empire has occupied the holy city of Jedha. Sending a Star Destroyer and a whole legion of Stormtroopers and TIE Fighters. Things did not turn out very well for the city. This Lego MOC depicts just that moment. Titled “The Empire Over Jedha City” and built by onecase. The scene contains over over 5,000 Lego pieces. The land has been expertly built up with a huge stack of plates. The color variety and differing shapes is a great way way to recreate the mesa. The whole scene is topped off with a giant floating Lego Star Destroyer. A few well placed transparent bricks do their best at hiding the structure involved to achieve this effect.

Even though the finished build is massive, everything is set in a microscale. With most of the tiny building being done inside the city walls. Check out that skyline. It has mini TIE fighters flying around the jumble of rooftops. The tallest building is actually the Temple of the Kyber, which was one of the most important buildings for the Jedi order. Full of history and a major source of Kyber crystals. Jedha City is what really makes this Lego MOC work.

The Awesome Lego Imperial Star Destroyer Mark II, by Jerac

Jerac's Lego Star Wars Star Destroyer Space

The Star Destroyer is one of the most iconic and cool spaceships ever designed. Almost every kid from the last 30 years has wanted their own. Most of them are disappointing in some way, either being way too small, or not detailed enough. So, Jerac decided to built his own Lego Star Destroyer. And, this one is not a disappointment. This Imperial Star Destroyer Mark II is one of the most impressive and large Lego Star Wars spaceships ever built. The clean lines and perfect design come together in a model that could be a stand-in for the films.

This Imperial Star Destroyer Mark II is nicknamed the Chimaera. It weights about 110 pounds and contains over 42,000 Lego bricks. It is 252 studs long which is about 6.6 feet, or 202 cm. This ship is massive and Jerac estimates that it cost over $5,000 in parts. The whole project took over 6 months to design and build.

You can go see the Chimaera for yourself in Swarzewo, where it is on display. There are plans in the future to add lighting to the ship, which would make it even more impressive.

Lego Super Star Destroyer MOC, Release the KR-KN!

OchreJelly’s Super Star Destroyer: Release The KRKN

“After the death of the Emperor Palpatine and Lord Vader, the Empire made a last ditch attempt to thwart their enemies by rushing to complete their fleet of Venator class super star destroyers. However, by the time these vessels could be deployed, the Rebel Alliance had already developed its own super weapon, designation KR-KN.”

Iain Heath, also known as Ochre Jelly on Flickr, created Release the KR-KN!  His original goal was to liven up the Super Star Destroyer from is grayness. Make sure to read the whole store here. Lets make this happen in Star Wars VII.
