Zap That Thirst! With This Nuka Cola Wasteland Lego Build.

Zap that thirst! With This Nuka Cola Wasteland Lego Build. Car Detail.

In the Fallout Wasteland there is nothing better than a Nuka Cola (well maybe some RadAway). This incredibly popular soda pop can be seen all over the land. Lego builder Keith Reed has created this scene, and describes it as such: “A family trying to reach a bomb shelter, takes up refugee in a delivery truck.” The Cadillac style sedan is an excellent rusted Lego car. The use of the different greens mixed with tan and brown works well. It adds a lot to the story; you can guess just how long these people have been trapped in the Wasteland. The blighted landscape is well built, the stagnant green water and the odd mushrooms immediately give off the feeling of sickness. The Lego Nuka Cola truck is appropriately rusted out and even includes a brick built logo on the side. Inside the truck, is the sad realization that the family did not survive the apocalypse. One of the best details in this Lego MOC is the road, the broken up pot holes are expertly created with SNOT techniques, and provides a great contrast to the rough (and stud filled) landscape.

Lego Perk-a-Cola Machines From Call Of Duty

Lego Perk-a-Cola Machines From Call of Duty

The Zombies mode in the Call of Duty video game series features a bunch of super colorful “Perk-a-Cola” vending machines. There are a bunch of different types and/or flavors available. In the game theses drinks offer little bonus, such as extra life, better accuracy, and more stamina. These Lego “Perk-a-Cola” machines are built by infamousKONVICT. The machines include Quick Revive, Juggernog, Speed Cola, Double Tap, Stamin-Up, Deadshot Daiquiri, PhD Flopper, Electric Cherry, and Mule Kick. Each machine is very unique, with some of the stand out designs being Juggernog, PhD Flopper, and Electric Cherry. They go from very classic vending machine designs, to more slot machine looking designs. If you look carefully you can even see some of the new transparent Minifigure posing pieces.

Bite Into This Lego Burger And Fries

Bite Into This Lego Burger And Fries

A good burger and fries can really hit the spot. The warm and salty food goes well with a cold soda. This Lego MOC called “Burger and Fries” is the creation of Joe. The scene features the popular fast food meal, but there is a twist. A lot of the details are created with Lego Minifigure legs/pants. This new challenge to build stuff out of legs is interesting. Here, the legs are being used as the straw in the soda, part of the french fries, lettuce on the burger, and the hamburger patty itself. It is a great example of getting creative with limited pieces. The tomatoes and the soda cup lid are two other great details. The whole scene is sitting on top a a wooden plank which looks great. The contrast of which, helps us focus on the food. But, if we were to eat this meal, we might want plates next time.

Minifigures Are Working From Home Too

Working From Home, Lego MOC

Working from home is becoming increasingly popular. You mostly get to set your own hours while you dress how you want. If you add up all the time spent in the office with meetings, talking at your desk, and taking breaks you might find that you are a lot more productive at home. So what do you do, when you find all your work finished in the first three hours of the day? Play video games, watch tv, make lunch, clean the house, and make Lego stuff. Check out this little Lego MOC, called “ ‘Working’ from home” created by jasoncichon. It is a very clean Minifigure scale desk. The mouse is especially great, as is the flat LCD monitor. All of this and not one stud in sight.
