Under The Sea With A Giant Squid

GrimLock's Under The Sea with a Giant Squid

“The seaweed is always greener
In somebody else’s lake
You dream about going up there
But that is a big mistake
Just look at the world around you
Right here on the ocean floor
Such wonderful things surround you
What more is you lookin’ for?”

This Under the Sea MOC vignette, by Grim Lock, creates its own story. Deep sea divers go searching for treasure, divers find treasure and giant squid. Giant squid kills one diver, and now the treasure goes to the last one standing. Man vs. Squid, who will win?

This little Lego vignette is impeccable. Great rocks in the background, a good use of tiles to create the sandy ocean floor, and a good selection of treasure strewn about the beasts lair. Then, by only showing a few tentacles emerging from a tiny cave, it leaves the rest of the monster up to your imagination. Good stuff.

Lego Super Star Destroyer MOC, Release the KR-KN!

OchreJelly’s Super Star Destroyer: Release The KRKN

“After the death of the Emperor Palpatine and Lord Vader, the Empire made a last ditch attempt to thwart their enemies by rushing to complete their fleet of Venator class super star destroyers. However, by the time these vessels could be deployed, the Rebel Alliance had already developed its own super weapon, designation KR-KN.”

Iain Heath, also known as Ochre Jelly on Flickr, created Release the KR-KN!  His original goal was to liven up the Super Star Destroyer from is grayness. Make sure to read the whole store here. Lets make this happen in Star Wars VII.

Lego Jack Sparrow VS. Kraken

Cmaddison’s ’Ello Beastie

Jack Sparrow had to face an epic battle at the end of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.  The whole film ended with an incredible battle where Jack called upon the Kraken to fight the Pearl. Someone saw this iconic scene and thought; that needs to be in Lego.

That person is Flickr user cmaddison, who created ’Ello Beastie. Can Lego Jack Sparrow survive?

(spoiler: Yes!)
