These Learning Lego Bookends Hold Knowledge

Deborah Higdon's Lego Bookends

You can put your Lego creations to good use by making them into bookends. Check out these Lego bookends by Deborah Higdon. The theme is “learning,” which is very appropriate. Each side features a vignette of learning. The left bookend is an old time schoolroom, complete with wood burning oven. The map hanging over the desks uses some rubber bands to help give a more realistic appearance, mimicking the coast lines. There is also a brick built mosaic of a mountains landscape, and the desks even recreate that old iron detailing. On the other side of the books, is the right bookend. This scene is of a dorm room. A completely different habitat compared to the schoolroom. Here many life lessons can be learned. The room features an unmade messy bed, a dead desk plant, a laptop, and many many expensive textbooks.

A Lego Kids Room Full Of Toys, Stuff, And Fun

Cesar Soares's Lego Kids Room

Lego rooms are quickly becoming a popular theme in the MOC world (here). The newest room is the creation of César Soares. What separates this Lego Kids Room from the others is the massive amount of decoration. There are Lego built posters, trophies, books, book ends, mini Lego models, a telescope, train, boat, etc. There is even a Lego built rug in the center, which is an ingenious solution, using texture to create a quilted pattern. This MOC is a good representation of the “ideal” boys room. This whole thing is rad. The poster with the green Lego alien is an especially good detail.

“This was made a few weeks ago but I was waiting for some modulex. Today I was able to get some and took some quick shots of the MOC.

It represents a kid’s room, based on my own childhood room, with some doodles hanged on the walls, lots of toys on the floor, lots of comics and a real mess :)

My favorite parts are the mini Imperial Shuttle and the flowers pot hanged next to the window. What’s yours (if any!)? :)

Hope you like it!” — César Soares
