Moonish: Thinking Outside the (LEGO) Block

Moonish Goods

A great thing about being an adult fan of Lego is watching everyone around you discover how great Lego is too. Very few things from childhood continue being fun and inspiring into adulthood. Lego just happens to cross that great barrier more often then usual.

Thinking Outside the (LEGO) Block, by Moonish, is a great example of how Lego can inspire ones creative side.

“A handful of LEGOs, or ‘Automatic Binding Blocks’ as they were originally named, are like holding a blank canvas. You are limited only by your imagination and the number of building blocks you can accumulate. But don’t stop there! Check out the following tangents and tweaks on the traditional LEGO block to inspire yourself to think outside the block:”

Mr. Gold Is Worth Gold

Series 10 Mr. Gold Minifig

Mr. Gold has been found, and on eBay happens to be as costly as gold.

The current Series 10 of the Lego Collectable Minifigures features a new super rare figure. For the first time Lego has packaged 5000 limited gold (plastic) minifigs randomly worldwide. When the series was first spotted about a month ago no one had a clue exactly how these figures would work.

And, work they do. The first Mr. Gold figures are up for sale from $500 to $1300. Wow.

ToysNBricks has a great write up about said figure, and even does some math about weather or not the investment is worth it.

It has been well over a decade since the last Wild West theme, and all the new Lego building sets look great. The Stagecoach Escape (79108) is looking to be the early winner of the theme. 5 figures, 3 horses, and a vehicle for $30.

Check out all the details at this early review featured on The Brothers Brick.

Lego Collectable Minifigures – Series 10 Reviewed @ Eurobricks

Minifigures Series10 Reviewed by WhiteFang at Eurobricks

Who knew that we would already be up to Series 10 of the Lego Collectable Minifigures.

WhiteFang’s review of the newest set on Eurobricks is the definitive review.

It seems like I find myself blindly buying 2-3 of these every release, and while sometimes my luck is lacking, overall each new figure has found a home. Some of these like the Librarian and Roman Commander are very well done. And, who doesn’t image creating a huge Assassin’s Creed style battle with the Revolutionary Soldier.
